Location:
London, United Kingdom
Job Type:
Full-Time

About Us:
Founded more than 15 years ago and headquartered in Chicago, the DV Group of financial services firms has grown to more than 450 people operating throughout North America and in Europe. Since spinning out of a large brokerage firm in 2016, DV Trading has rapidly scaled as an independent proprietary trading firm utilizing its own capital, trading strategies, and risk management methodologies to provide liquidity to worldwide financial markets and hedging opportunities to commodity producers and users. Now, DV group affiliates include two broker dealers, a cryptocurrency market making firm, and a bourgeoning investment adviser.

Role Overview:
In this role, you will join a newly established options trading team as one of its foundational members, with the rare opportunity to shape and influence the desk’s development from the outset. You’ll work directly with an experienced trader to refine and scale a successful volatility trading strategy, focusing on U.S. index and equity options.

In close collaboration with DV’s world-class researchers and developers, you'll apply strong analytical skills and make data-driven decisions to help execute the team’s strategies with precision. Your ability to interpret complex data, generate insights, and move quickly will be key to thriving in this fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive trading performance by actively managing a volatility trading portfolio through discretionary positioning.
  • Monitor and manage real-time risk, maintaining a deep understanding of all factors influencing PnL across a diversified options book
  • Analyze market conditions using real-time data to identify and evaluate high-conviction trading opportunities
  • Execute trades with precision, optimizing price discovery and minimizing slippage to ensure efficient position entry and exit.
  • Enhance trading infrastructure, contributing to the continuous improvement of desk setup, tools, and workflows.
  • Leverage quantitative techniques to identify, assess, and pursue new trading opportunities and strategy enhancements.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of work experience in a trading firm, with a focus on volatility trading or related strategies
  • Strong understanding of options trading and risk management, with the confidence to express and act on market views
  • Proven ability to apply quantitative and analytical skills to navigate complex market dynamics
  • Proficiency in a programming language such as Python or C++; experience with additional languages or tools is a plus.
  • Willingness and availability to work US market hours

Annual compensation range £80K - £100K + discretionary bonus eligibility
