This role is based in Melbourne, Aus.
We are seeking a talented and passionate Product Design Lead with a focus on UI to join our creative studio. As the Product Design Lead, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience of our products - Stake and KICK.
You will lead a small team of designers, guiding their growth and ensuring the delivery of high-quality design outcomes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, to create user-centric designs that meet business objectives and delight our users.

What you will do:
- Mentor and nurture junior designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative design culture by providing constructive feedback, conducting regular design reviews, and supporting the professional growth of the broader team.
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, understand user needs, and translate them into effective design solutions.
- Lead the design process from concept to final delivery, ensuring a high standard of quality and consistency.
- Present design ideas and concepts to stakeholders, clearly articulating the rationale behind design decisions. Demonstrate a solid understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods to be able to conduct user testing and validate hypotheses.
- Facilitate design workshops, brainstorming sessions, and ideation sessions to align with stakeholders.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design ideas and solutions.
- Help maintain design systems, style guides, and design patterns to ensure consistency across all products and platforms.
- Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and accessibility standards in all design outputs.
What you will bring:

A minimum of 5 years experience as a Product Designer, with a strong focus on UI design.

A portfolio showcasing a range of UI design projects and the ability to explain design decisions.

Solid understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies.

Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts and rationale.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving project requirements.

Experience with designing for platform-specific apps such as iOS and Android is desirable.

Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
Desirable qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.

Experience leading and mentoring design teams, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Bonus points if you also have:
- Sports & Gambling knowledge advantageous
- Cryptocurrency knowledge would be advantageous
- Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Spreadsheets, Docs), Slack, Jira & Intercom
