Your day-to-day impact:

  • Drive the activation and expansion of EBANX’s operations in India, launching new verticals and partnerships while growing existing merchants and increasing the company’s Share of Wallet in the region.

  • Work closely with the Director of India to educate, collaborate, and engage with partners to strengthen EBANX’s value proposition in India, ensuring it remains competitive and relevant to global clients.

  • Support the Director in engaging with frontline commercial teams, helping them effectively sell EBANX’s India portfolio to global merchants.

  • Ensure clarity around EBANX’s value proposition in India — why our model matters, what differentiates our payment portfolio, and how it aligns with each merchant and vertical strategy.

  • Engage with additional partners to optimize Cost of Payments (Take Cost), Payment Portfolio, and Redundancy Rails, ensuring EBANX’s four core pillars — performance, SLA, service levels, and platform robustness — are consistently achieved.

  • Lead negotiations with PSPs, banks, acquirers, and other payment partners, validating their capabilities and aligning them with EBANX’s operational model.

  • Own all aspects that impact P&L for merchant activation, including cost negotiations, promotions, and campaigns.

  • Collaborate with GTM and Marketing teams to define target verticals, anchor brands, educational materials, and localized commercial content that highlight EBANX’s value proposition.

  • Contribute to studies, benchmarks, and thought leadership initiatives, such as the Beyond Borders Report, representing the Indian market as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).

  • Partner with commercial teams to optimize live merchants, acting as a local consultant — analyzing payment flows, checkout experiences, and consumer behavior to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for India, including TPV, revenue, Share of Wallet, payment mix, and ramp-up curves, ensuring growth targets are met.


Must-haves to shine in this role:

  • Strong background in payments, financial services, or fintech, with deep knowledge of the Indian payments ecosystem.

  • Proven experience in partnerships, business development, or market expansion roles.

  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and sustain long-term partnerships.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English.

  • Proactivity, autonomy, and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.


Bonus points if you have:

  • Prior experience working with cross-border payments or international merchants.

  • Understanding of FX and liquidity providers, or experience managing cost and pricing models.

  • Familiarity with marketing or GTM collaboration in commercial strategies.

  • Previous experience in global fintechs or technology companies.
