In the Operations team at EBANX, you don’t just oversee processes. You ensure that every step of our solution runs accurately, efficiently, and reliably, impacting millions of transactions worldwide. What your day-to-day will look like

The Country / Regional Leader is responsible for making EBANX the leading payments partner in their market(s), driving YoY growth, Gross Profit (GP), RoAV, and diversification.
This role combines strategic ownership, partnership leadership, regulatory interface, commercial acceleration, operational enablement, and cultural leadership, ensuring EBANX’s long-term competitiveness and compliance in the region.
The Regional Leader will oversee one or more countries, supporting cross-functional work across Product, Operations, PPO, TTR (Treasury, Tax & Regulatory), Compliance, Legal, and Commercial.

Key Responsibilities
I. GP & RoAV Snapshot
Responsible for the YoY country growth
GP $ and RoAV % as per budget
Develop and own the market entry and growth strategy for prioritized countries within the region
Conduct in-depth market assessments, ensuring full alignment with EBANX’s global strategy
Surface market opportunities that fit EBANX’s ICPs but are not yet reflected in the commercial pipeline
Articulate clear competitive positioning and support go-to-market strategies tailored to each local market
Proactively partner with Commercial leadership to support the growth acceleration of the markets
Help the commercial team bring local insights to existing merchants and prospects
Country Growth leaders should actively participate in strategic conversations at C-suite level, under the Commercial team’s guidance.
Provide local market insights and feedback loops to inform the commercial pipeline

II. Partnerships: Cost & Redundancy
Identify, negotiate, and secure strategic partnerships with banks, payment processors, and regulatory bodies
Drive take cost reduction and anticipation fees reduction
Leverage the market power of EBANX through recurring negotiations with local providers, aiming for the lowest processing cost in the market

III. Operations Enablement
Drive performance improvement 
Ensure seamless alignment with Product, Operations, Legal, and Compliance teams to on-time and on-quality merchants' onboarding
Accelerate time-to-revenue
Provide local insights to inform product development and roadmap prioritization
Deliver insights and requirements to enable the successful launch and full operational enablement of EBANX operations in priority markets within agreed timelines

IV. Market Intelligence & Readiness
Act as the primary point of contact with local regulators, ensuring that all operations are fully compliant with local laws 
Oversee licensing processes (with the Regulatory team) where required
Implement risk mitigation frameworks aligned with global compliance standards
Ensure alignment with Products, Engineering, Operations, Compliance and Finance to deliver scalable and compliant payment solutions
Bring relevant regulatory intel that informs EBANX’s strategy and execution
Bring relevant market intelligence that feeds strategy and execution plans regarding partners and payments landscapes
Represent EBANX at industry forums, panels, and events to enhance market credibility and institutional presence

V. Leadership 
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing regional team, ensuring cross-functional alignment
Represent EBANX externally as a trusted thought leader
Promote EBANX culture and cross-functional collaboration within the hub / country
Act as the EBANX ambassador for all ebankers located in the country/region
