Echodyne is seeking a detail-oriented Master Scheduler responsible for developing and managing demand intake for products, contributing to the creation of the end-item supply plan within the MRP system, and ensuring material availability to meet production schedules.

As a Master Scheduler, you will work closely with teams across the company, including Sales Operations, Supply Chain/Purchasing, and Manufacturing, to coordinate material flow and resolve any production or material issues. The role also involves analyzing data, making informed decisions, and communicating effectively to maintain a smooth production process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demand Management: Develop and manage demand intake for product lines and contribute to the creation of the end-item supply plan in the MRP system
  • Material & Capacity Planning: Identify material and capacity constraints, releasing forecast purchase requisitions, and maintaining a material status report that communicates the material position and production plan
  • Production Scheduling: Plan and release work orders to the manufacturing floor according to the production plan, ensuring timely processing of material in the MRP system to support customer orders
  • Issue Resolution:  Rapid problem identification of material issues that impact planned production kit releases and taking a proactive approach in resolution and future prevention
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate with various teams, including Supply Chain/ Purchasing, and Manufacturing, to ensure alignment and resolve any material or production-related challenges
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data related to demand, material availability, and production progress, and generate reports to management
  • Inventory Management: Define and establish minimum and maximum inventory quantities for items with predictable demand
  • System Updates: Maintain accurate records in NetSuite or other databases/spreadsheets for incoming and outgoing materials
  • Production Support: Track and expedite released work orders through the production process and shipping

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • MRP and ERP Systems: Experience working with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and ideally, experience with ERP systems like NetSuite
  • Supply Chain Management: Familiarity with supply chain principles and practices, including material planning, logistics, and inventory management
  • Production Planning: Experience in production planning, scheduling, and coordinating the flow of work through a manufacturing facility
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze data, identify potential issues, and develop effective solutions
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to track details to ensure efficient and effective operations that meet or exceed our shared objectives
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Excel to develop customized reports is required.  Proficiency in using MRP/ERP systems is also required, experience using NetSuite is preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Effective communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential. Negotiation and influencing skills are also highly valued, along with the ability to manage complexity and prioritize tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Statistics) or equivalent experience. Equivalent experience may include a combination of relevant education (e.g., associate degree, professional certifications) and/or practical work experience.
  • Experience: 8 or more years of experience as a Master Scheduler, Production Planner, or Materials Planner are required, experience in manufacturing/production processes is preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: An understanding of supply chain processes, including manufacturing planning, demand management, and replenishment processes, is important.
  • Eligibility to handle export-controlled data (ITAR, EAR)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • This role primarily involves essential functions carried out in an office environment, such as data entry, documentation, and communication. It also necessitates interactions with the production floor, involving moving throughout the facility/facilities to communicate with colleagues and monitor manufacturing operations. This may include traversing different work areas to collaborate with team members or inspect production progress.

The pay range for this position is $84,100 - $126,100 annually.
