JOB OVERVIEW:

Our IMPACT Training and Awareness team develops custom programs targeting our clients’ employees. We serve several industry verticals, producing custom content and media for each unique client. We take an agency approach to our communications, developing custom brands, cohesive campaigns and programs, and compelling design elements. Our focus is on the internal audience of our clients, communicating topics like safety, operations, loss prevention, transportation safety, change management, and more.

We’re seeking an energetic, highly creative and technically skilled Graphic Designer (Full-time Contractor) with a Motion Graphics specialty to join our team that blends professionalism with a fun, energetic vibe. This role is perfect for someone who loves diving deep into projects to tell a great story through design and can bring compelling ideas to life across various media platforms.

In this role you’ll be responsible for crafting visually stunning graphics as well as motion assets that elevate our work, captivate audiences, and drive engagement across print and digital media. You’ll also bring them to life by building production-ready files to get our messages to our audiences. Further, through engagement with clients, you will conceive impactful ideas, messages and ultimately connect with our audience through your work.

 

LOCATION: Remote - Candidates in or willing to work central time zone hours is preferred

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: 

  • CONTRACTOR CANDIDATES: This is a contractor 1099 role open to United States citizens. This role will be expected to devote full-time hours to this work; weekly hours will be approximately 37.5hours per week. The contract duration will likely be for 1 year (12 months), and may be extended beyond that. 
  • Required: Graphic designers with some demonstrable motion graphics experience. (NOTE: This is not a full-on animator or motion graphics designer role; this is a graphic designer role that requires the ability to build some motion graphics & do quick video edits, in addition to doing standard graphic design work.)
  • Travel & Location: When not traveling to client sites, this role will work from home. Frequency and duration of travel varies; average frequency is once every 1-2 months, however this can vary depending upon client needs.
  • Required: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects).
  • Team player eager to take their creative skills and focus purely on designing great visuals!

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

A detailed list of job duties includes (but is not limited to):

  • Create visual assets: Design and produce high-quality visual content with relevant imagery, compelling design, and dynamic typography carried across campaign components, including interactive, eLearning, video and other training materials, etc.
  • Develop creative concepts: Design concepts by designing mood boards, rough layouts or storyboards to convey key messaging that resonates.
  • Use design software: Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and experience in motion graphics (After Effects) is desired for this role.
  • Ensure design/tone consistency: Maintain and evolve visual identity consistent messaging, and tone guidelines across all touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with teams: Work with account managers, project managers, copywriters, and other cross-functional teams to brainstorm and develop materials that meet project goals.
  • Manage projects: Handle multiple design projects simultaneously, self-manage deadlines, and coordinate with internal team members and production partners or printers as needed.
  • Plan and facilitate on-site video shoots: be hands-on in the planning and managing filming in our client environments with our video team, including shot list development, storyboard building and managing aspects of on-site filming.
  • Quality checks: Ensure that our work goes out flawlessly, every time.
  • Present to stakeholders: Present design concepts to clients and/or internal stakeholders and incorporate their feedback into final designs.
  • Maintain industry knowledge: Stay up-to-date with emerging AI and design trends, tools, and technologies.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Education: A degree/diploma in graphic design or a related field is ideal, though a strong portfolio and professional experience is highly valued.
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Technical proficiency: Expertise with the Adobe Creative Suite is essential. Video, animation and/or motion graphics software experience is highly desirable. Demonstrable eLearning software experience is plus.
  • Creative and innovative thinking: The ability to conceptualize ideas and develop unique, compelling visual messaging and execute them effectively and efficiently.
  • Strong communication: Excellent verbal and visual communication skills for presenting ideas and collaborating with team members and clients.
  • Attention to detail: A strong eye for visual composition, layout, typography, and color theory and message integrity.
  • Time management: Effective organizational and time-management skills to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork: A propensity to work with a variety of team members, across time zones, skillsets and abilities, and elevate and support them.
  • Travel: occasional travel in the US and Canada, primarily.

 

COMPENSATION: 

This is a 1099 contractor role expected to devote full-time hours each week to the business; whomever is hired will need to submit a monthly invoice for payment. The average monthly payment for this role is $5,800 - $7,000 and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits.  The compensation offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
