Job Description:
Our Senior Staff Cloud Engineer will play a key role in scaling and optimizing our cloud engineering and DevOps capabilities, supporting mission-critical software delivery and infrastructure objectives across the organization. This position is ideal for a hands-on technologist who thrives at the intersection of cloud architecture, automation, and software development. The role involves designing and implementing scalable cloud infrastructure, driving DevOps best practices, and enabling engineering teams to deliver high-quality applications efficiently across multi-cloud environments.
What You’ll Do:
- Architect and implement cost-effective, high-performance Azure cloud solutions, including migrations from on-premises environments.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to automate application testing, release, and deployment processes.
- Build highly automated and scalable cloud infrastructure that accelerates product innovation.
- Define and execute a DevOps strategy to establish a center of excellence within the organization.
- Write production-quality infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or ARM templates.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, CircleCI, GitHub, or related platforms.
- Monitor and optimize systems using observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
- Participate in architectural design discussions and contribute to long-term infrastructure planning.
- Mentor and coach DevOps engineers to elevate team expertise and standardize best practices.
- Provide on-call production support and drive solutions to improve system reliability.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals and objectives of the department/company.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience designing, analyzing, and managing large-scale, distributed systems in a multi-cloud environment.
- Proficient programming skills in Go, Python, or a comparable language.
- Deep expertise in containerization and Kubernetes, including automating cluster deployments.
- Extensive experience with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Pulumi, or ARM templates.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, CircleCI, GitHub, or similar tools.
- Proficiency with observability and monitoring platforms like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Demonstrated ability to lead architectural conversations and deliver scalable solutions.
- Strong mentoring skills and a passion for enabling engineering excellence.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with technical and executive stakeholders.
- Availability to participate in an on-call rotation and resolve critical issues in production environments.
