Senior Identity and Access Management Administrator

Position Overview:

Elite is hiring a Senior IAM Lead to design and implement advanced identity solutions that meet strict security and policy standards. This role sits within the Global Infrastructure team and oversees the full user lifecycle and access governance. A key responsibility is integrating Microsoft Entra IAM with enterprise systems to ensure seamless and secure operations. The IAM Lead will work closely with teams across Infrastructure, Security, HR, and Compliance to balance business needs with regulatory compliance.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

This role requires the individual to be Flexible across U.S. time zones.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer Microsoft Entra and IAM systems to ensure secure and reliable identity lifecycle management across enterprise platforms.
  • Implement robust IAM solutions—including SSO, MFA, and identity governance—to enhance access security and user experience.
  • Design scalable IAM processes that streamline onboard/offboarding, enforce role-based access, and safeguard privileged accounts.
  • Monitor system performance and growth trends to proactively address capacity needs and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and preserve IAM system integrity.
  • Conduct security audits and collaborate with compliance teams to uphold regulatory standards and reduce risk exposure.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, HR, and vendors to integrate IAM with enterprise systems and accelerate secure provisioning.
  • Support modernization initiatives such as cloud migration and automation to improve infrastructure agility and scalability.
  • Maintain change management protocols to ensure consistent and compliant infrastructure evolution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in managing IAM and Entra infrastructure.
  • Strong proficiency in Identity and Access Management (IAM), with hands-on experience architecting and administering secure identity solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to configure and manage Microsoft Purview for data governance, compliance, and information protection across enterprise environments.
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, including at least 6 years in Microsoft technology support roles.
  • Relevant certifications, such as ITIL, Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300), CISSP, CISM, or GIAC.
  • Strong background in incident tracking, escalation, and resolution within IAM and infrastructure domains.
  • In-depth knowledge of infrastructure security and compliance frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Exceptional automation skills: Proven ability to design, implement, and optimize IAM workflows using leading automation tools such as Power Automate, Aquera, Better cloud, and Workato, driving efficiency and accuracy in access management processes.
  • Outstanding customer service orientation and stakeholder engagement, with a track record of building collaborative relationships across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to travel up 10–25% as business needs require.
  • Role requires the following physical capacity: Light: up to 20 lbs – occasional lifting or movement of light objects.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Costa Rica; Elite does not provide employment sponsorship for this position.
  • Proficiency in English at a C1 level or higher (CEFR), with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken formats.
