Inventory Control Coordinator
Overview
**Candidates MUST BE geographically located in or near Sterling, Virginia with a willingness to work on-site 5 days a week**
As an Inventory Control Coordinator, you will be first line of support for addressing inventory control responsibilities, maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring the clear flow of inventory in and out of both the Warehouse Management System and physical facilities, through activities such as Cycle Counting, verification of inventory locations, identification of inventory discrepancies, and basic inventory systems analysis. You will support Inventory Control in maintaining inventory accuracy and timely completion of all assigned inventory cycle count audits. This role ensures data integrity within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and supports overall operational efficiency by keeping inventory records accurate and up to date.
Your Impact
The essential functions of this position include:
- Develop proficiency in core system (WMS).
- Monitor and work inventory queues in the WMS (e.g., cycle count queues).
- Support inventory analyst and senior analyst workload across unknown receipts processing, sales inquiries, and warehouse inquiries.
- Assists in preparing inventory reports and cycle count metrics for leadership review.
- Conducts physical counts on the warehouse floor and compare results to system records to maintain alignment.
- Ensures inventory accuracy by verifying warehouse locations and all materials are properly labeled and stored.
- Responsible for timely completion of Cycle Checks in line with system-scheduled assignments.
- Collaborates closely with warehouse, inventory, and operations teams to ensure smooth material flow and system integrity.

- Escalates discrepancies in warehousing standards to Inventory Control Manager for review, such as identifying damaged products or hazardous conditions within the warehouse
- Actively participates in daily and weekly department meetings as requested and supports continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
- Collaborates closely with warehouse, inventory, and operations teams to ensure smooth material flow and system integrity.
- Adheres to company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance requirements related to inventory and safety.
- Assists in preparing inventory reports and cycle count metrics for leadership review.
- Performs additional duties and special assignments as needed to support warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of a Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong basic data entry skills with attention to detail and system accuracy.
- Ability to accurately count physical inventory across a wide range of sizes and packaging.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within small teams.
- Ability to build and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (In-person, email, etc.).
- Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment with frequent interactions and interruptions, all in line with our ePlus Corporate Values.

- Ability to build and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members and cross-functional partners.
- Comfortable working in warehouse environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) skills preferred.
- Ability to attain certification to operate powered equipment, including but not limited to Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs), electric/manual pallet jacks, and scissor lifts (certification available on-site through ePlus).
