About the Role

We are looking for a visionary AI Lead with a passion for leveraging artificial intelligence to automate and optimize underwriting processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AI/ML techniques, experience with multi-modal data, and a strong background in developing scalable AI solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of AI-driven solutions to automate underwriting processes.
  • Explore and integrate new data sources to enhance the multi-modal underwriting information graph.
  • Define, develop, and refine underwriting rules using advanced machine learning and AI techniques.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to build and deploy scalable AI models.
  • Ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance of the AI-driven underwriting system.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML and apply best practices to improve the system continually.
  • Mentor and guide junior AI team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, with a focus on applying these technologies to real-world problems.
  • Proven track record in developing and deploying AI solutions in the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Strong expertise in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.) and programming languages (Python, R, etc.).
  • Experience with multi-modal data integration and analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about how to achieve business objectives through AI.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with underwriting processes and insurance domain knowledge or related fields.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the insurance industry.
  • Publications or patents in the field of AI/ML.
