About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Product Analytics team, focusing on building and maintaining analytics foundations. This role is critical in ensuring reliable, scalable data infrastructure and providing the groundwork for impactful analytics across the organization. As a key contributor to our team, you will work closely with engineering, product, and QA teams to document, validate, and maintain data quality, enabling faster and more accurate insights. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation of a single source of truth for data by validating events, ensuring accuracy, and establishing consistency across datasets.
- Build and maintain end-to-end funnel views for all products, enabling clear insights into performance and user behavior.
- Develop and uphold clean, centralized documentation for event tracking, funnel logic, and baseline metrics to drive clarity and efficiency.
- Establish and maintain business metrics monitoring alerts, ensuring timely detection of anomalies and enabling proactive decision-making.
- Empower stakeholders with self-serve data solutions and reusable dashboards, providing accessible and actionable insights.
- Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to implement scalable event tracking frameworks and validation processes.
- Partner with data engineers to align on consistent business logic, ensuring that dashboards and datasets meet the highest standards of reliability.
- Drive a culture of data excellence by ensuring foundational analytics processes are robust, scalable, and support strategic initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, analytics engineering, or a related role focusing on foundational analytics work.
- Strong proficiency in SQL with a proven track record of working with large datasets.
- Familiarity with data transformation (DBT) and data validation tools (e.g., Datadog logs) and best practices for event tracking.
- Experience developing and maintaining documentation for data processes and events.
- Strong collaboration skills with experience working cross-functionally with engineering, QA, and UX teams.
- Ability to build reusable dashboards and templates in data visualization tools like Mode, Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on scalability and process improvements.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience working in a high-growth startup or fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with consumer funnels and foundational analytics processes for experiment support.
- Understanding of A/B testing frameworks and metrics validation.
- Exposure to scripting languages like Python or R for data cleaning and automation.
