About the Role
As the Senior Manager of Product Analytics in the direct-to-consumer (DTC) vertical, you will lead a high-performing team while remaining hands-on in your approach. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Lifecycle teams to define goals, analyze user behavior, and generate insights that influence decision-making and product prioritization. This role balances technical contributions with mentoring and coaching a team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision-making. Your work will have a direct impact on optimizing user experience and improving growth and acquisition efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with PMs to define feature goals, implement tracking, and analyze results from experimentation to measure success.
- Lead and mentor a team of product analysts, providing career development and technical guidance.
- Balance hands-on technical work, including developing dashboards and querying data, with leadership responsibilities.
- Build and execute a multi-quarter roadmap for analytics, ensuring alignment with product and business goals.
- Perform exploratory analyses and deep dives into large data sets to uncover actionable insights, trends, and opportunities across the product funnel.
- Collaborate with Engineering to implement well-defined taxonomies and ensure analysis-friendly data production.
- Foster a data-driven culture by promoting best practices in experimentation, causal inference, and storytelling through data.
- Present findings and recommendations to executives and cross-functional stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
Qualifications and Skills
- 8+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, or a related field, with a focus on product analytics.
- 3+ years of experience as a people manager, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and lead teams.
- Expert knowledge of SQL.
- Strong expertise with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Amplitude) and a scripting language such as Python or R (preferred).
- Proven track record of designing and analyzing A/B tests and applying experimentation best practices.
- Experience with statistical methods, such as regression analysis and hypothesis testing.
- Ability to balance hands-on technical contributions with leadership responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present insights and recommendations to various audiences, including executives.
