About the Role
At Ethos, our Operations Program Specialists play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of our life insurance operations. Embedded within the Insurance Customer Operations team, they bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities to manage escalations, maintain process documentation, track operational trends, and support product launches.
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. You’ll serve as a bridge between carriers, internal teams, and leadership—keeping processes running smoothly, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting initiatives that directly impact customer and partner experience. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as you’ll balance recurring operational work with ad hoc requests and special projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of day-to-day operational workflows across assigned business areas.
- Monitor and respond to escalated issues, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate process documentation and update procedures as workflows or requirements change.
- Prepare meeting materials, reports, and summaries to track performance, trends, and recurring issues.
- Identify and track operational trends, partnering with cross-functional teams to address root causes.
- Coordinate intake, tracking, and follow-up for recurring and ad hoc operational requests.
- Assist in the rollout of new products, services, or operational initiatives, including training and documentation support.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure consistent, efficient, and accurate process execution.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in insurance operations, carrier support, or program coordination (life insurance experience preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to clearly document processes and procedures.
- Proficiency with productivity tools (Google Workspace, CRM systems, project management platforms).
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining operational accuracy and compliance.
- Proactive problem-solver with a track record of identifying and addressing process inefficiencies.
