Position Summary

In this key role, the Milk Accounting Reconciliation Specialist will leverage their diligence, problem-solving abilities, and exceptional customer communication skills as they work directly with raw milk manifest data – the critical data produced by the industry that serves as the primary means of quantifying raw milk deliveries into manufacturing and processing operations. The manifest data is the basis for valuing payments to the dairy farmers producing the raw milk.  The Milk Accounting Reconciliation Specialist will track and audit data to ensure data integrity within the proprietary Ever.Ag system. The Milk Accounting Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the data set is free of errors and work with customers to resolve and preserve data integrity issues, and produce balanced matched data on a daily, weekly, and semi-monthly basis.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate collection and manage data associated with importing and entering weight manifests utilizing the proprietary Ever.Ag operating systems
  • Import, enter and communicate data changes as identified and save corresponding backup information regarding the changes
  • Use Ever.Ag system reports ensuring data entry and processing functions are accurately completed
  • Review and resolve problem queues daily to address manifest data issues
  • Review, resolve, and communicate with customers on manifest errors to ensure accurate information is in place (and shared with appropriate team members). Document resolution descriptions.
  • Audit producer weights weekly and during mid-month and month-end processes
  • Accountability for all scheduled loads for customers assigned. Utilize reports to identify loads missing manifests; Communicate with customers on rejected or dumped loads to ensure all data is captured correctly within the system; calculate/prorate load data
  • Perform daily, mid-month, and month-end balancing utilizing plant, supplier, and producer weights
  • Contribute to other assigned projects, including but not limited to mobile manifest implementations and problem resolution.
  • Perform lab file imports and reconcile lab results to weights reported
  • Investigate client issues and provide solutions and follow-up to ascertain that issues are successfully resolved
  • Document client case issues, investigations, and resolutions in Salesforce
  • Perform backup Dispatch duties as needed. This will include scheduling and dispatching milk from farms to processing facilities. Communicate daily with customers, plant personnel, and transportation companies/haulers regarding milk deliveries; utilizing the Ever.Ag dispatch technology. Ability to cover after-hours on-call rotation and/or work a varying week that could include weekends and holidays.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture programs, Accounting, Business, or related studies from an accredited college or university. Two years’ experience in a professional office setting may be substituted for education.
  • 1-2 Years’ experience with reconciliation functions as a core function, either financial or other similar data functions
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Due to the cyclical nature of this role paid overtime is required for some nights and/or weekends, including some holidays
