About the role

The Senior Business Analyst plays a key role within the Information Systems team, driving strategic business analysis and process improvement initiatives across Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Marketing. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technical delivery, ensuring our Salesforce ecosystem and connected systems effectively support operational goals.

The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to gather requirements, design scalable solutions, and ensure business processes are efficient, data-driven, and aligned with company objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Partner with business leaders across Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Marketing to capture requirements and translate them into scalable system solutions.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with Salesforce developers, administrators, and vendor partners to extend platform capabilities and integrate new technology tools.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure system design adheres to data governance, scalability, and compliance standards in collaboration with IT and Compliance teams.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, aligning on priorities, timelines, and expected outcomes.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend opportunities for process optimisation to enhance efficiency, data quality, and user experience.
  • Insight & Enablement: Use analytical insight to guide decision-making and support the company’s growth objectives through improved business processes and systems.

Essential Criteria 

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in business analysis, with a proven record of delivering successful system or process improvement projects.
  • Salesforce Expertise: Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud capabilities, data structures, and process design.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable trends.
  • Documentation & Communication: Skilled at producing clear, structured documentation and communicating complex ideas effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Process Improvement: Experience identifying and implementing process optimisation opportunities.
  • Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with business intelligence and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working with ERP systems (ideally Sage Intacct).
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and its integration with Sales Cloud.
  • Experience in a SaaS or technology-led organisation, ideally within an internal systems or transformation function.
  • Understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Experience contributing to data-driven decision-making through visualisation and reporting tools.
