Position Summary

Founded by engineers, ExtraHop is a technology start-up located in downtown Seattle that delivers elegant solutions for the IT industry's most challenging problems. The ExtraHop system is an application-aware wire-data processing technology that keeps network applications running at light speed.

Software Engineer I roles are entry-level engineering positions responsible for contributing to software development projects, building scalable and reliable systems, and learning industry best practices under guidance of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the automation of infrastructure and processes using modern tools.
Support continuous integration pipelines, automated testing, and frequent release cycles.
Assist in the development and maintenance of products and services, with attention to security, scalability, and stability.
Participate in the design and implementation of reliable systems, including monitoring and remediation.
Engage with modern software technologies to enhance platform capabilities and reduce manual effort.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
0 to 1+ years of software engineering experience, new grads encouraged to apply
Knowledge of at least one modern programming language (e.g., Linux, Go, Python, Java or similar)
Self-starter with a strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and ability to learn quickly
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Collaborates effectively with team members and cross-functional stakeholders across the organization
Thrives in dynamic environments, demonstrating adaptability and focus under pressure
Maintains consistent and reliable attendance, supporting team and project need

The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $125,000 + bonus + benefits
