People Business Partner Director

We are looking for an exceptional People Business Partner Director who serves as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance on workplace issues, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring business enablement and alignment with company priorities. The ideal candidate has experience handling employee relations matters, providing consulting and career/performance coaching to employees and company leadership, and partnering with business units to drive engagement and performance.
You’ll play a critical role in accelerating Factored’s growth and helping our Engineering leaders build, develop and retain world-class teams. Factored’s People Business Partner (PBP) are deeply involved in the business, given that our overall touchstone is that all People Team initiatives tie back to clear business outcomes.
Examples of work that our PBP does include leading change management, partnering on org design and strategy, driving people initiatives to engage and retain talent. You will be functionally embedded with the teams you support, and work with cross-functional stakeholders on their behalf, in order to help them achieve their business outcomes. We’re looking for the most thoughtful, practical, and business-minded BP to join the team and raise the bar!
Functional Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted thought partner, consultant, and coach to employees and leaders across the Engineering organization.
- Be the primary point of contact on all people-related matters for global Engineering team members at all levels, ensuring timely and fair resolution.
- Provide support, guidance and thought leadership on areas such as performance management, change management, employee relations, workforce and talent planning, career development, manager development, etc.
- Partner with your leaders to foster and drive a high performance culture and environment, driving initiatives that improve employee performance, engagement and retention.
- Assess organizational health and effectiveness on a regular basis and identify opportunities to drive improvements and efficiencies.
- Take ownership of improving organizational effectiveness, employee satisfaction, and overall workforce experience by developing and implementing targeted interventions based on a deep understanding of employee needs and business priorities.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to drive organizational alignment, ensuring that business strategies are supported by effective talent, leadership, and people practices that enhance both individual and collective performance.
- Collect and analyze data to deliver insights and drive recommendations that support the business.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in a senior People Business Partner or similar HR leadership role, ideally in a dynamic, high-growth environment; experience with working with a global Engineering organization is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of influencing and partnering with senior leadership to drive strategic people initiatives.
- Excellent influencer, coach, communicator, facilitator, and listener with a balanced and thoughtful approach to building trust across all levels of the organization.
- Strong expertise in organizational design, talent management, leadership development, performance management, and change management.
- Creativity and grit to skillfully problem solve and navigate dynamic, ambiguous situations.
- Exceptional business acumen with the ability to align people strategies with overarching business objectives, and insatiable curiosity to learn how the business and your client groups operate.
- Strategic thinker with a strong ability to translate business needs into people initiatives and strategy.
- Highly solutions oriented with demonstrated strong judgment; can proactively guide leaders through difficult decision making and challengesExpertise in leveraging data and analytics to drive decision-making and deliver people-related insights to senior leadership.
- Ability to analyze data and effectively communicate key insights, getting resourceful when data might not be readily available.
- A demonstrated track record of bias for action, rolling up your sleeves and getting things done.
