The Assistant General Manager supports the daily operations for their assigned property. The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for inspecting property conditions and coordinating maintenance work. In addition, they will perform administrative tasks and organize property viewing and handling relations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promotes resident satisfaction and retention by responding to complaints, questions, and requests promptly and taking appropriate action to resolve and address service issues.
- Ensures the property’s maintenance team complies with Fairstead’s standard.
- Completes the daily transactions and tasks related to the financial operation of the community by collecting and posting rent, fees, and other payments, preparing daily bank deposits, and reconciling bank accounts, preparing financial reports, and processing invoices and payables.
- Lead a team and implement and establish creative marketing strategies.
- Oversee resident move-outs by reviewing lease terms and notice requirements, applying appropriate deposit and lease cancellation fees, if applicable, and processing the disposition in accordance with established procedures and legal requirements.
- Conducts move outs and apartment specs.
- Oversee all accounting transactions to ensure all rents are collected, posted, and deposited daily.
- Operates the property management software (Yardi) and completes purchase orders.
- Performs other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform the job successfully, the following skills and/or experience are required to qualify for the position.
- Two (2) years of experience in leasing in an assistant property management role in mixed income.
- Knowledge of the local residential market.
- Proficient in Yardi.
- Great Customer Service skills.
- Able to learn and work with property management applications.
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, vendors, and associates.
- Adhere to tight deadlines and quick turnaround for deliverables.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment where adaptability is imperative.
- Strong written and oral skills.
- Accurate with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Salary Range
$95,000 - $115,000 USD
