Role Summary

This role will support the CEO of the Swap Dealer in driving change initiatives and new business ventures for the Swap Dealer, with responsibilities including clearly defining delivery plans and targets to enable effective growth, and integrating expansion opportunities as they arise.

This role will play a crucial part in establishing frameworks and controls for the Swap Dealer business, as well as driving improvements in both existing and new processes.

This position will be instrumental in building the operational infrastructure necessary to support the sustainable growth of the business.

Acting as a liaison between the Swap Dealer business and the Control & Support functions of the broader group, the Business Manager will serve as a key contact and go-to person.

Overall Responsibilities

Assisting with delivering new business initiatives, following and improving the groups change process, such as:

  • Assisting in evaluating new business initiatives to ensure they align with business strategy and are sensible from a cost/benefit perspective.
  • Responsible for effective communication with key stakeholders.
  • Accountable for establishing project plans and identifying scope.
  • Creating, reviewing, and enhancing existing management information (MI) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to effectively monitor and guide the business.
  • Helping to create transparency around costs and budgets, driving efficiencies and cost reductions, and proactively seeking to rationalize expenses where possible.
  • Aiding in driving change for the Swap Dealer by setting up new processes, reviewing current ones, and identifying improvements.
  • Supporting the evaluation and justification of existing and new platforms.
  • Ensuring business operations comply with local and general regulatory requirements.
  • Making sure compliance and other mandatory trainings are up-to-date.
  • Responsible for adhering to the Group's governance structures and risk frameworks, promptly escalating breaches and risk events.
  • Ensuring clear communication with the manager and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Collaborating closely with support teams and the business to complete tasks and projects.
  • Delivering strategic and tactical projects and plans to enhance the current operating model.
  • Ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes, focusing on driving improvements.
  • Overseeing daily operations and making adjustments as needed.
  • Swap Proficiency Exam preferred, or the ability to take the exam within three months of hire.

  • Expected to be an expert in one or more specific skill sets, business areas, or products. Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering one or more specific daily or regular processes.
  • May have external exposure as a Company representative or industry expert.
  • The primary focus is on day-to-day deliverables, developing solutions based on subject expertise, and occasionally representing the relevant department at a broader level within the group.
  • Provides professional support to Management & oversees the efficient and effective delivery of all processes and projects within the relevant department and sub-departments.
  • Ensures the effective delivery of processes and project outcomes to the business and the broader Company group.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance or related field required; master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA) preferred.
  • Experience: 10+  years in management or operations, preferably in an NFA regulated entity, with exposure to cryptocurrency markets. Prior Swap Dealer firm experience is highly preferred particularly supporting OTC Commodities, FX, and Rates
  • Swap Dealer management expertise: Proven track record in developing and implementing policies, and procedures within a Swap Dealer or other NFA entity.
  • Regulatory knowledge: Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and requirements for digital asset trading platforms. Experience in managing relationships with regulators is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; able to present risk-related information to senior management and external stakeholders. Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Prior cryptocurrency experience is not required; however, a general curiosity and desire to learn are a must.

Compensation:

This is a full-time position with an expected annual compensation of $192,000 - $294,000. The actual compensation for a successful candidate may vary based on factors such as skill set, relevant experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.  This position also offers other forms of compensation and benefits consisting of overtime compensation (when applicable), relocation assistance (if applicable), performance-linked bonus, paid time off (including sick time) benefits, paid Company holidays, participation in the Company’s equity and 401k retirement plan, competitive employee health, dental, and vision benefits each subject to the terms and conditions of the governing plan documents and Company policies.
