Associate Merchandiser

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Merchandising Associate with experience in men's apparel to support our merchandising team. This role is key in driving product strategy and executing merchandising plans for our men's clothing lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of men's fashion trends, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for bringing quality products to market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and execution of merchandising strategies for men's apparel, ensuring alignment with company goals and market trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and sales, to ensure product launches are executed successfully.
  • Analyze sales data and trends to support inventory management, replenishment strategies, and product assortments.
  • Work closely with vendors to manage timelines, negotiate costs, and ensure the timely delivery of samples and finished goods.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining line plans, seasonal collections, and product assortments for the men's category.
  • Input and maintain product information, including SKUs, pricing, and other relevant data, within internal systems and PLM software.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify new opportunities and trends in men's apparel.
  • Support the merchandising team in preparing presentations and reports for seasonal line reviews and strategy meetings.
  • Participate in the selection of key styles, colorways, and fabrications for the men's apparel collections.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of men's product lines, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in merchandising or buying, with a focus on men's apparel.
  • Strong understanding of men's fashion trends and the apparel market.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) software, preferably Centric PLM.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising, business, or a related field.
  • Experience working with major retail accounts or department stores.
  • Understanding of cost structures and product development timelines for men's apparel.

At FAM Brands, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation. Salary ranges for positions are based on job level, location, and market data. We offer competitive benefits and are dedicated to equal pay for equal work. Specific salary offers depend on each candidate’s qualifications and experience. FAM Brands also offers all employees participation in our annual bonus program (Non-Sales) or commission program (Sales).

Compensation Range

$31.25 - $35 USD
