About the Role:
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Associate Designer to support the design and development of men’s sportswear for off-price and volume retailers. This role is a key part of our growing team focused on delivering commercial, trend-aware product for national accounts such as TJX and Burlington. You’ll assist in all aspects of the design process—concept, CADs, tech packs, sample reviews, and approvals—while learning how to balance aesthetic with price, margin, and speed.
Key Responsibilities:

Seasonal Development: Assist in the design and development of men’s apparel collections, including tops, bottoms, outerwear, and layering pieces geared toward off-price customers

CAD & Line Sheet Creation: Create and update technical sketches, color-ups, and line sheets in Illustrator; maintain seasonal CAD libraries and style files

Tech Pack Support: Help build and maintain tech packs in PLM, ensuring all design details, trims, and construction specs are accurate and production-ready

Sample Management: Track and organize proto, SMS, and TOP samples; assist in fit sessions and communicate comments to technical design and product development

Trend Research: Research color, silhouette, and fabric trends appropriate for the men’s mass market apparel space; contribute to concept boards and seasonal inspiration decks

Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Designer and cross-functional teams—including Merchandising, Product Development, and Sales—to ensure designs align with brand strategy, cost, and customer expectations

PLM & Calendar Tracking: Enter and maintain all seasonal design information and updates in Centric PLM, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Skills & Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in men’s apparel design, ideally in sportswear or value-tier/private label programs

Strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills required

Familiarity with PLM systems (Centric preferred)

Strong understanding of garment construction, technical design handoffs, and fabric types used in value-tier product

Highly organized with strong communication skills and the ability to meet fast-paced deadlines

Collaborative and eager to learn in a team environment

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field
Location Notice:
This is a full-time, onsite position based at our current headquarters in Bell, CA. In Q1 of 2026, we will relocate to our new corporate office in Beverly Hills, CA (90210). Candidates must be comfortable working onsite at both locations.

At FAM Brands, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation. Salary ranges for positions are based on job level, location, and market data. We offer competitive benefits and are dedicated to equal pay for equal work. Specific salary offers depend on each candidate’s qualifications and experience. FAM Brands also offers all employees participation in our annual bonus program (Non-Sales) or commission program (Sales).

$32.50 - $40 USD
