Job Title: 2nd Shift eComm Supervisor

Department: Shipping /Operations

Reports To: Logistics Operations Manager

 

Position Summary

The 2nd Shift eComm Supervisor oversees all day-to-day warehouse operations across five key workstreams — Small Parcel, LTL, International, Inbound, and FTL — ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient fulfillment of finished goods. This leader drives execution of best-day shipping, maintains process compliance, and ensures all customer orders are fulfilled according to company standards and service-level expectations. The 2nd Shift eComm Supervisor will manage a team of approximately 15+ associates and play a critical role in supporting operational excellence, team performance, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced, dynamic fulfillment environment. The 2nd shift team will be responsible for preparing all next-day Wave 1 orders, including ODFL, International, and Small Parcel shipments. This includes moving inventory from storage locations to designated workstream areas (SP, ODFL, International). Ensuring all orders are allocated correctly from their respective workstream locations. Overseeing staging of outbound orders for on-time readiness. The primary goal is to ensure that at least the first wave of next-day orders is fully prepared and ready to ship by the start of the following day.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Execution

  • Lead daily warehouse operations across all workstreams: Small Parcel, LTL, International, Inbound, and FTL.
  • Ensure all orders are picked, staged, and shipped on schedule to meet best-day shipping standards.
  • Verify that all orders are properly closed in the warehouse management system (WMS) before end of shift.
  • Prepare and validate load sheets for next-day shipments to ensure readiness and accuracy.
  • Partner with logistics teams to maintain balanced workflows and prevent backlogs.

Process & Compliance

  • Uphold all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for picking, staging, and shipping activities.
  • Audit daily operations to ensure compliance with company processes, inventory controls, and quality standards.
  • Identify process gaps and implement corrective actions to maintain operational integrity.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy in documentation and order tracking within WMS.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Supervise and coach warehouse associates, assigning tasks and setting daily priorities.
  •  Foster a team-oriented, safety-first culture focused on accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide regular feedback, training, and development to build multi-skilled, cross-functional teams.
  •  Lead daily shift meetings to align on goals, priorities, and safety reminders.

Safety & Facility Standards

  • Enforce all safety protocols, ensuring a clean, organized, and compliant facility.
  • Conduct safety inspections and report or resolve any unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and internal safety guidelines.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

On-Time Shipment Rate: ≥ 98%
Inventory Accuracy: ≥ 99%
SOP Compliance: 100% adherence on internal audits

Qualifications:

3–5 years of experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics operations.
1–2 years of supervisory or lead experience in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Knowledge of shipping modes (Small Parcel, LTL, FTL, International) and inbound logistics.
Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and quality standards.
