Role Summary

Fanatics Collectibles is seeking an Associate Account Manager to support and grow our NA Retail business across a portfolio of emerging and non-traditional retail accounts. This role reports to a Director of Retail or NA Retail Account Manager and is designed for an early-career sales professional looking to develop foundational skills in account management, analytics, retail operations, and channel development.

This role is divided into two key areas of focus: (1) Retail Account Setup, Listings and Analytics (approximately 40% of the role), which involves building and maintaining the operational foundation that enables our retail partners to sell effectively; and (2) Account management and development (approximately 60% of the role), which covers professional team accounts, emerging sports-adjacent accounts, and energy channel doors — areas with strong growth potential as Fanatics Collectibles expands its retail footprint to convert more fans to collectors.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn the mechanics of B2B retail sales. A passion for sports, culture, and collectibles is a strong cultural fit. This is an in-office role based in New York City.

Responsibilities:

Retail Account Setup, Listings and Analytics (~40%)

  • Own the setup and maintenance of retail account listings across FC Pro and relevant retailer databases, ensuring accurate product information, pricing, and pack configurations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Sales Ops, Trade Strategy, IT) to ensure new accounts are properly onboarded and listed ahead of key product launches.
  • Manage and update retailer database entries, including EDI setup, product SKU assignments, and sell sheet distribution.
  • Track listing accuracy and proactively resolve discrepancies or gaps that could impact sell-through.
  • Support price and pack creation for retail partners, coordinating review and approval processes to ensure timely delivery to account managers.

Account Development (~60%)

  • Manage and grow a defined portfolio of professional team accounts (e.g., pro team stores, stadium retail), serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day sales activity and account support.
  • Identify, qualify, and onboard emerging sports-adjacent accounts — including non-traditional retail doors with strong collector audiences — to expand Fanatics Collectibles’ retail distribution.
  • Develop and manage relationships within the energy channel (e.g., convenience, specialty energy retail doors), driving product education, sell-in, and replenishment.
  • Leverage FC Pro and SalesForce to manage account activity, track performance, and communicate key programs and product releases to assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with Senior Account Managers and the Head of NA Retail to align on account priorities, promotional strategies, and sell-through goals.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics within assigned channels to surface insights and opportunities to the broader team.
  • Prepare and present business reviews and account performance updates for internal stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 1–3 years of work experience in sales, account management, retail operations, or a related field; internship or co-op experience in a relevant industry will be considered.
  • Consumer products, specialty retail, or sports/entertainment industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of or passion for trading cards, collectibles, or sports culture is a meaningful advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven, with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and account management tasks.
  • Must be detail oriented, highly organized, and maintain both a sense of urgency & good attitude in day-to-day operations and workflows.
  • Sense of urgency, good attitude and work ethic, quick learner.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written/oral) with proven ability to succeed in a team environment and work collaboratively with all internal stakeholders.
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint essential; familiarity with SalesForce or other CRM tools is a plus.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to New York City; in-office presence required.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
