Role Summary

Fanatics Collectibles is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Inventory Associate to support day-to-day inventory and fulfillment operations within the Collector Fulfillment Department. This role is responsible for helping ensure inventory is received, stored, tracked, prepared, and fulfilled accurately and efficiently.

The Inventory Associate will support key workflows across inventory movement, cycle counting, order preparation, product handling, quality checks, and exception resolution. This role will partner closely with Inventory Supervisors, Senior Inventory Associates, Collector Fulfillment Associates, Customer Service, Warehouse Operations, and other cross-functional teams to help maintain inventory accuracy and deliver a high-quality collector experience.

The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, comfortable working with inventory systems, and committed to accuracy in a fast-paced operational environment.

 

What You’ll Do

Inventory Operations

  • Support daily inventory activities, including receiving, putaway, storage, replenishment, picking, packing, product movement, and fulfillment support.
  • Accurately locate, label, scan, and transact inventory using inventory management systems, warehouse management systems, or related tools.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate on-hand balances by following established inventory control processes.
  • Help identify and report inventory discrepancies, including shortages, overages, damaged goods, misplaced items, returns, and fulfillment exceptions.
  • Support inventory organization standards to ensure products are properly stored, protected, and easy to locate.

Fulfillment & Product Handling

  • Prepare products and materials for fulfillment workflows, including defect, redemption, replacement, and collector support orders as needed.
  • Perform product handling tasks with care and attention to condition, accuracy, packaging, and presentation.
  • Support quality checks to ensure orders and inventory movements are accurate before shipment or handoff.
  • Assist with assembling, moving, lifting, and organizing product packages and materials as needed.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to support accurate, timely, and consistent fulfillment execution.

Cycle Counts, Audits & Reconciliation

  • Participate in cycle counts, physical inventory counts, reconciliations, and inventory audits.
  • Accurately record count results and escalate variances to the Inventory Supervisor or Senior Inventory Associate.
  • Support research into inventory discrepancies by reviewing system transactions, physical locations, and product movement history.
  • Maintain documentation and process compliance in support of inventory controls and operational standards.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Partner with Collector Fulfillment, Customer Service, Warehouse Operations, Returns, Quality, and Logistics teams to support inventory-related workflows.
  • Help research and resolve order issues, inventory exceptions, replacement needs, and customer-impacting discrepancies.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding inventory status, exceptions, and task progress.
  • Escalate issues that may impact fulfillment timelines, inventory accuracy, or the collector experience.

Continuous Improvement

  • Follow established processes while identifying opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, organization, and workflow consistency.
  • Share observations and feedback with supervisors to help reduce recurring inventory issues.
  • Support process improvement initiatives, space optimization, and standardization efforts as directed.
  • Contribute to a team environment focused on accountability, collaboration, safety, and operational excellence.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in inventory, fulfillment, warehouse operations, retail operations, logistics, customer service operations, or a related environment.
  • Experience working with inventory management systems, warehouse management systems, ERP platforms, or similar operational tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and complete tasks accurately and on time.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift, move, organize, and assemble product packages and materials as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting ecommerce, direct-to-consumer, collectibles, trading cards, retail, or high-volume fulfillment operations.
  • Familiarity with inventory processes such as cycle counting, replenishment, reconciliation, order picking, packing, and exception handling.
  • Experience supporting customer service-related inventory workflows, including returns, replacements, defects, redemptions, or order resolution.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Airtable, or similar data tracking tools.
  • Interest in sports, trading cards, collectibles, or collector-focused products.
