The Role
As our Payroll & Benefits Analyst, you'll be a crucial member of our People team, ensuring smooth operations of our payroll and benefits programs. You'll manage end-to-end payroll processing while serving as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries. This role combines technical expertise with strong communication skills to deliver an exceptional employee experience.
Your Impact
- Own the full payroll cycle, processing semi-monthly payroll with precision while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations across multiple jurisdictions
- Manage our benefits administration, including 401(k) program oversight, healthcare benefits coordination, and maintaining strong relationships with insurance brokers
- Lead employee communications and training initiatives related to benefits programs, creating clear and engaging materials that help team members understand and maximize their benefits
- Drive the new hire orientation process, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for all new team members
- Proactively identify and resolve payroll discrepancies while maintaining accurate records and documentation
The Ideal Match
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, or related HR functions
- Strong technical proficiency with HRIS systems and payroll platforms
- Detail-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Outstanding communication skills with a focus on clear explanation of complex topics
- Experience working with multi-state payroll regulations

- Previous experience in a high-growth startup environment
- Professional certifications in payroll or benefits administration
