The Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Client Operations Analyst to play a critical role in enhancing our operational resilience and risk management capabilities within the financial industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and documenting key business processes and controls, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and effective risk mitigation. This role requires a strong understanding of financial services operations, a meticulous approach to process analysis, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable solutions.
Your Impact
- Collaborate with business units, risk management, and compliance teams to analyze existing processes and identify control gaps and areas for improvement.
- Design and develop new, effective control processes and procedures that align with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Facilitate the successful implementation of new or enhanced controls, including supporting change management activities and user training.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for critical business processes, including process flows, narratives, control matrices, and procedural manuals.
- Develop and manage the centralized process catalog, ensuring all processes are accurately documented, classified, and easily accessible for personnel and stakeholders.
- Regularly review and update existing process documentation to reflect changes in operations, systems, or regulatory landscapes.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments on key business processes to identify inherent and residual risks.
- Work with stakeholders to define and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies and control activities.
- Assist in the ongoing monitoring of process performance and control effectiveness, identifying potential control breakdowns or emerging risks.
- Act as a liaison between business users, PDE, goal owners, and compliance teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to elicit information and validate requirements.
The Ideal Match
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Process Analyst, or similar role within the financial services industry (e.g., banking, investment management, insurance).
- Proven experience in process mapping, documentation, and re-engineering.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles, internal controls, and operational risk frameworks (e.g., COSO).
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements relevant to the financial industry (SEC, FINRA, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, ARIS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Lean Six Sigma, or similar.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
