
Mortgage Compliance Specialist
First National Bank of America’s mortgage lending department is looking for a Mortgage Compliance Specialist to join our growing team of specialists who are responsible for monitoring compliance with applicable regulation, policies, and procedures. The successful candidate will have great attention to detail, an investigative mind, and be able to collaborate with others in and out of the department. A disciplined, conscientious, hands-on approach is central to this job and it requires work that is high quality and precise.
Responsibilities:
- Review mortgage documents
- Work directly with residential mortgage staff
- Prepare adverse action notices
- Prepare reports for the residential compliance counsel
- Ensure compliance with federal regulation
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Adjust loan level data for accurate reporting to the federal government
Qualifications:
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Previous mortgage origination experience preferred
- Knowledge of mortgage documentation, or real estate experience preferred
- Knowledge of consumer regulations (TRID, HMDA, ECOA, FCRA) regarding applications for extensions of credit secured by residential real estate preferred
