Job Application for Commercial Credit Analyst at First National Bank of America

First National Bank of America has a full-time opportunity in our commercial credit department. This position encompasses all aspects of the credit underwriting process including financial statement analysis, statement spreading for business customers and the preparation of credit memos for submission to the Bank's loan committees. This person will work closely with both commercial lenders and the loan documentation staff. Training for financial analysis, statement spreading, and credit analysis will be provided as needed.

Responsibilities:

Obtain and analyze data on prospective and active borrowing relationships. Work with commercial lenders on their credit memos for presentation to loan committee for approval.
Complete annual reviews to evaluate and maintain proper risk ratings for the existing portfolio.
Provide thorough documentation of all financial analysis work, including ratios and other related information, and ensure that all credit analysis activities are conducted in accordance with loan policy.

Qualifications:

Experience analyzing and interpreting personal and business financial statements and tax return is preferred
2- 3 years’ experience in a credit analyst role is preferred
Must be able to work independently and prioritize workflows
Ability to exercise good judgment in establishing and maintaining working relationships, problem solving, while delivering a high level of accuracy, focus, and timeliness
Intermediate level technology proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel is required
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain your conclusions and reasons for your decisions.
