
Scrum Master
First National Bank of America is adding a Scrum Master to the growing IT Team. The Scrum Master will serve as a servant-leader and coach for one or more Scrum teams, enabling them to self-organize, remove impediments, and deliver high-quality work that supports our technology-driven lending platform. This role will work closely with product owners and stakeholders to ensure clear priorities and transparency throughout the development lifecycle. This is a 100% onsite role based in East Lansing, MI.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate all core Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Coach and mentor teams in the adoption and ongoing improvement of Scrum practices
- Partner with Product Owners to ensure well-groomed and prioritized backlogs
- Track and report on sprint metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and impediment trends
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and team accountability
- Maintain team spaces in Jira and Confluence, ensuring transparency and alignment
- Support Agile-related knowledge sharing and maturity across technical and business teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and lending product teams to deliver high-impact technology
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years experience as a Scrum Master in a professional Agile environment
- Deep understanding of the Scrum framework, values, and servant-leadership approach
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and interpersonal skills
- Scrum Master certification (e.g., CSM, PSM I) preferred
- Experience in fintech, banking technology, or real estate lending systems is a plus
