Senior Product Manager, Payments

Fleetio is looking for a Senior Product Manager—payments. In this role, you will own the strategy and execution of our payments ecosystem, ensuring frictionless, secure, and scalable transactions across our marketplace.

Who you are

Our ideal candidate is someone comfortable in a high impact role, responsible for optimizing flows, payment processing, reconciliation, and financial operations while driving revenue growth. You have leadership skills to expand payment methods, enhance fraud prevention, and establish strategic fintech partnerships to scale our marketplace. You will foster a collaborative work culture, partnering with engineering, design, data analytics, operations, and customer-facing teams to uplevel our payments and fuel customer satisfaction and business growth. You exhibit strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.

Your impact

  • Define the north star vision for Fleetio’s payment platform, enabling seamless transactions across our B2B marketplace.
  • Drive the success of payments solutions, aligning with Fleetio’s overarching business goals.
  • Improve payment conversion rates, reducing friction in checkout, invoicing, settlements, and new revenue opportunities.
  • Navigate complex B2B payment flows, including ACH, virtual cards, and fleet-specific financial integrations.
  • Develop and manage a detailed product roadmap prioritizing features, enhancements, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, UX/UI, data, and operations—to convert market and customer insights into actionable requirements.
  • Partner with UX teams to enhance trust, transparency, and control over transactions.
  • Own KPIs like transaction success rates, authorization declines, fraud rates, and chargeback prevention.
  • Leverage data insights to optimize pricing models, incentives, and payment adoption strategies.
  • Lead agile planning sessions, manage backlogs, and oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and iteration.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities within the digital payments landscape.
  • Engage directly with customers to gather feedback, validate product hypotheses, and continually refine our offerings.
  • Regularly update senior leadership and key stakeholders on product performance, strategy, and metrics.
  • Ensure all payment solutions adhere to industry standards (e.g., PCI compliance) and navigate evolving regulatory requirements.

Your experience

  • 5+ years in product management, with a strong focus on digital payments, fintech, B2B marketplaces and/or SaaS environments.
  • Proven success in launching, and scaling payment products.
  • Deep understanding of payment processing systems, security protocols, transaction optimization, and global payments trends.
  • Strong data analytics skills to drive experimentation, testing, and decision-making.
  • Exceptional ability to align payments strategy with business goals and marketplace growth.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in agile environments, working closely with engineering, compliance, risk, and operations.
  • Strong communication skills with executive stakeholders and external partners.
  • A proactive, hands-on leadership style.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage customer insights to improve user experience and drive product success.
