Compliance Officer

Flow Traders is looking for a Compliance Officer to join our Compliance team in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate is inquisitive and passionate about the financial markets. This role involves working within the Compliance team as well as with other teams in the firm on a wide range of compliance tasks, e.g.  monitoring and surveillance, contribution to policies and procedures and advising the various internal teams on relevant rules and regulations. What You Will Do 

• Provide day-to-day compliance advisory support to business units on market rules and practices
• Assist with market monitoring and surveillance functions
• Take ownership of compliance advisory and collaborate with external/ internal stakeholders for new businesses projects
• Take leads to perform compliance risk assessments and implement relevant controls/ monitoring program.
• Assist with developing and implementing compliance procedures and processes
• Keep abreast of new regulations, policies and trading rules, analyse, provide advice on new and existing regulations and translate them into business requirements

What You Need to Succeed

• 5 years+ of relevant working experience in the compliance domain in the financial services industry
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Law or related field
• Affinity with financial markets and/or APAC regulations
• Knowledge in Digital Assets is an advantage
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Pragmatic but critical approach, strong analytical and problem-solving mentality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA and/or SQL is advantageous
