Flight Itinerary (About The Role)

As a Senior Technical Product Owner at FLYR, you will collaborate with leadership, Product Managers, individual product owners, data scientists, and airline experts to shape the development of groundbreaking solutions in the travel industry. You will partner with dedicated engineering teams to bring these innovative capabilities to life. Your main responsibilities will involve creating and maintaining a product roadmap, detailing feature specifications, and assessing product value and impact.

You are driven by the process of building new products and guiding them to completion. Detail-oriented and proactive, you see success as a collective achievement. You excel at transforming complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance for your team. What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)

  • Define comprehensive product specifications and detailed use cases to guide development.
  • Manage a product roadmap that ensures continuous value delivery.
  • Collaborate extensively with the software engineering team to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
  • Continuously refine and maintain the product backlog with cross-functional product teams, ensuring all items are well-defined, estimated, and prioritized.
  • Take ownership of detailing features and user stories, including acceptance criteria and acceptance tests, to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Facilitate regular product demos, highlighting critical features to stakeholders to showcase progress and gather feedback.
  • Lead iteration retrospectives, driving discussions to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase team velocity and product quality.

What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications)

  • Extensive experience as a Technical Product Owner
  • Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence for product management
  • Knowledge of New Distribution Capability (NDC) and ONE Order standards
  • Familiarity with payment solutions and revenue integrity processes
  • Experience with JSON and XML messaging systems
  • Expertise in cross-product collaboration and managing inter-team dependencies
  • Ability to work closely with software engineers and draft detailed user stories
  • Understanding of product lifecycle methodologies, from concept to launch
  • Highly organized with exceptional time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
