Flight Itinerary (About The Role)
As a Senior Technical Product Owner at FLYR, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of airline retailing. You'll be part of our Offer and Order Management team, focusing on the Product Catalog that allows airlines to define and sell a wide range of products and services - from traditional ancillaries to new, third-party offerings, and beyond. This is a key component of our modern retailing vision, enabling airlines to break free from legacy systems and create innovative customer experiences. You'll collaborate with a talented team of engineers, data scientists, and airline experts to build cutting-edge solutions that drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction for our airline partners.
What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine product specifications: Translate complex business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that guide the engineering team in building high-quality solutions.
- Champion the product roadmap: Develop and maintain a prioritized backlog, ensuring continuous delivery of value to our airline customers.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team: Ensure alignment on priorities, facilitate sprint planning and execution, and remove roadblocks to deliver products on time and to specification.
- Drive product demos and retrospectives: Showcase product features to stakeholders, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement in our development process.
- Be the voice of the customer: Collaborate with product managers and airline experts to understand customer needs and translate them into product enhancements.
What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications)
- 4+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner or in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of software development lifecycles.
- A proven track record of working with complex systems and architectures, with the ability to break down technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Experience in travel technology is a strong plus, with knowledge of New Distribution Capability (NDC) being an advantage.
- A talent for understanding intricate systems and their interactions, with a passion for diving deep into technical details.
- Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence for product management, along with experience using tools like Postman for API testing and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
