
Analyst - AMI Business Process Design (BPD)
Summary
This role is for an experienced AMI Business Process Analyst to support large-scale Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) programs within the utility sector. This role will lead business process workshops, develop as-is and to-be process models, and produce clear business and functional requirements that support system implementation.
Candidates should have experience with AMI or smart metering deployments, strong process modeling skills, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders.
This role requires travel approximately once per month (travel expenses fully covered). Candidates must reside in Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, or New York.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage a defined subset of L3 AMI business processes from planning through delivery, ensuring end to end alignment.
- Plan, lead, and facilitate business process workshops with cross functional stakeholder groups.
- Develop high quality as is and to be process models suitable for largescale AMI program implementation.
- Produce rigorous, testable BRDs and functional requirements that system integrators can directly build from.
- Manage stakeholder communication to ensure clarity, alignment, and traceability across process and requirements workstreams.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in AMI, Smart Meter, Advanced Meter Infrastructure, or Metering environments.
- Proven background supporting largescale AMI deployments and utility transformation programs.
- Strong business process modeling skills (as is/to be), including workshop facilitation and detailed process documentation.
- Ability to write clear, structured, and testable BRDs and functional requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to independently drive deliverables.
Locations
To be considered for this position, candidates must reside in one of the following U.S. states: CA, CO, IL, NY, Candidates residing outside these states are not eligible for consideration currently.

The compensation range for this position represents our good faith estimate of the range we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, education, work location, and internal equity.
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commissions, or other incentive programs, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, etc.
Estimated Compensation Range:
$80 - $95 USD
