Personal Lines Account Manager

Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding a Personal Lines Account Manager  to their Gaspar team in Woodland Hills, CA  Metro Region. 

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing prompt, accurate, and courteous service to customers, producers, and company personnel in addition to placement of personal lines business with awareness of carrier premium volume requirements and commitments. The main goal is to work as a team with the producer to protect the insured's interests through robust insurance products. 

Essential Functions:

  • Provide a high level of support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding, and servicing personal accounts. 
  • Provide market direction based on risk characteristics and maintain knowledge of current marketplace and provide risk placement alternatives. 
  • Participate in discussion and review of the current market situation of specific accounts 
  • Responsible for the entire renewal process for all accounts serviced; provide detailed direction for assembling pertinent information necessary to complete applications; review applications for market identification and submission requirements. 
  • Perform underwriting functions whenever necessary to make sure classification and rating are complete and accurate. 
  • Analyze and negotiate pricing, policy conditions, and terms; review all quotations with recommendations as to the best options for price, coverage, and risk alternatives. 
  • Handle complex and escalated customer service issues, investigating and following problems through to resolution. 
  • Responsible for providing exceptional day-to-day routine consultation, service, and support to insureds via phone and email. 
  • Review policies, process binder, and upload with carrier for binder completion. 
  • Increase retention by speaking with insureds, highlighting the features and benefits of products. 
  • Check new policies for accuracy of all coverages, eliminate gaps in coverage when applicable. 
  • Setup and coordinate COI requests with the assistance of our outsourcing company.  
  • Maintain accurate templates in EPIC and notify insured within 24 hours of cert request of any additional charges if coverage needs to be modified. 
  • Document customer service actions, discussions, and correspondence to keep records accurate. 
  • Keep producers up to date and fully informed on all aspects of their accounts. 
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor 

Competencies & Qualifications: 

  • Product subject matter expert for multiple lines & carriers. - Mercury highly preferred 
  • Excellent client service skills to assist in retaining, developing, and growing a client base. 
  • High competence with computers, programs, and software through the entire client life cycle. 
  • Highly professional and self-motivated. 
  • Excellent Communication/interpersonal skills 
  • Ability and initiative to continually learn the technical aspects of personal insurance and obtain designation in personal lines. 
  • EPIC or AMS360 

Education & Experience:

  • High School  diploma or 3+ years of experience 
  • CA P&C license  
  • Familiarity with personal lines insurance carriers 

*Can be hybrid or remote but prefer CA candidates 

This range represents the estimated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to performance, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of FRP's total compensation package for employees.

Pay Transparency Range

$65,000 - $75,000 USD
