Senior Business Development & Operations Specialist
Location: Athens
We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior Business Development & Operations Specialist to perform outreach, launch & manage partnerships with taxi dispatchers and/or B2B Clients across Greece expanding our geographic footprint solidifying our market leadership. This role also includes reporting, day to day account management, coordinating and successfully launching all local operations needs, as well as analysing market performance and proactively proposing strategies and action plans for business growth, thus requiring extensive collaboration with central teams (e.g., Central Operations, Product, Marketplace Performance, Business Analytics).
YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:
- Business Development: fully understand the taxi industry in Greece and FREENOW’s products to develop win-win relationships with dispatchers and B2B Clients for ongoing success. Support contract negotiations effectively. Continuous monitoring of performance. Identify Product improvements and align with relevant stakeholders to deliver them
- B2B Sales: Engage and build relationships with hotels, demonstrating the value of our solutions, develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent growth.
- Regional Expansion: drive expansion initiatives in new regions via dispatchers partnerships
- Strategic project management: Coordinate and successfully launch all local Operations projects, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders within the company for ongoing success
- Data-Driven Optimisation: Analyse market performance, detect areas of improvement to drive success and proactively propose new projects & action plans for business growth
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Marketplace Performance, Business Analytics, and other relevant teams to drive operational excellence and enhance business development
- Execute and help define the strategy for Operations in Greece, together with the GM and the Business Development Lead.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
- 2+ years of progressive experience in Tech, Operations, or Consulting/Strategy, preferably in high-growth, startup, or scale-up environments
- Relevant Business Development Experience: with proven results, a plus if it’s in the mobility industry
- Strong Project Management skills: preferably with a background in Operations, with proven experience in managing diverse stakeholders in different teams, reporting lines and countries
- Experience collaborating effectively with Product and Tech teams to define operational requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively influence and negotiate with external stakeholders
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a strong business acumen and the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities
- Native or bilingual Greek proficiency, very good level of English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in sales within the mobility sector
- Experience working in startup companies and/or fast-paced, dynamic environments.
