About This Role

As a Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in executing a state-of-the-art enrichment facility from concept through commissioning. This role will ensure that our enrichment facilities meet safety, efficiency and environmental standards. 

You will have the opportunity to work on a greenfield project collaborating with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, architects, and both internal and external partners to develop detailed structural designs and specifications. You will wear multiple hats and supporting your design work through vendor activity and constructions administration. This is an exciting opportunity to solve complex problems at scale, manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment, and bring modern enrichment facilities online. 

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and modification of various engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans for projects using engineering and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and equipment.
  • Use site visits, reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data and their impact on the planning and design of our facilities
  • Implement site safety activity plans and coordinate field work activities.
  • Take full ownership of civil permitting processes, working directly with regulatory agencies, municipalities, and environmental consultants
  • Ensure project compliance with federal, state, and local zoning, land use, and environmental regulations
  • Conduct civil engineering risk assessments, ensuring mitigation measures are in place for hydrology, land grading, and flood zone constraints
  • Collaborate with EPC project managers, construction teams, and subcontractors to refine site development strategies

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in structural engineering or similar discipline. 
  • 8+ years of industry experience. 
  •  EPC project experience.
  • Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures. Strong computer skills (e.g. AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM (Revit), Civil 3D, PLS, PLS-CADD, RISA-3D, MathCADD), and/or hydraulic, hydrologic, pavement, civil analysis programs.
  • Experience with leading the discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members. Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.
  • Ability to travel.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Evidence of exceptional ability (prior projects, portfolio of work, completed products, etc).
  • Experience in a fast-paced engineering environment or a highly technical role requiring a resourceful, entrepreneurial approach to complete tasks within tight timeframes or budget constraints.
  • Experience developing custom details to support unique facility design conditions.
  • Experience on large scale, mission critical construction projects.
  • Experience with construction and cost estimating processes.
  • Construction administration experience including site observation, review of RFIs and Submittals.
  • Experience with local/state code compliance.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $90,000–$175,000 annually. 

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and may be adjusted based on market conditions, business needs, or other factors. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
