About ProBio

ProBio proactively provides end-to-end CDMO service from drug discovery to commercialization with proactive strategies, professional solutions and efficient processes in cell and gene therapy (CGT), vaccine, biologics discovery and antibody protein drug to accelerate drug development for customers. ProBio’s total cell and gene therapy solution covers CMC of plasmid and virus for IND filing as well as clinical manufacturing and commercial manufacturing. In terms of plasmid service, ProBio supports the most clinical approvals for CGT drugs including mRNA vaccines, CAR-T in China. It is also the first GMP manufacturing platform to provide in vitro transcription (IVT) template linearized plasmids for mRNA vaccines and has supported several mRNA vaccine global enterprises to obtain clinical approvals. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns for multiple entities.
• Research and provide solutions with state and local tax issues, including compliance, advisory consulting, audit defense, refund claiming, and tax planning.
• Conduct sales tax code determination and taxability assessment for products and services.
• Manage customer exemption certificate database within the tax automation system.
• Conduct nexus analysis, voluntary disclosure analysis, and notice analysis.
• Research and provide taxability guidance for company purchase orders.
• Evaluate tax regulations and suggest policies to diminish tax burden.
• Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes.
• Manage and maintain the company’s tax database.
• Manage the vendor info and filing form 1099.
• Support other accounting tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant field.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in indirect tax, CPA is a plus.
• International taxation/tax planning working experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of MS Office and accounting software.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting vs. taxation different treatment.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
