ProBio’s total cell and gene therapy solution covers CMC of plasmid and virus for IND filing as well as clinical manufacturing and commercial manufacturing. 

Job Title: Head of US IT Department

Job Location: Piscataway, NJ

Compensation: The estimated salary range is $140,000 - $180,000, depending on experience.

Job Summary: 

The U.S. IT Head owns the end-to-end technology strategy, delivery, and operations for all North-American sites and users. Reporting to the Global IT Head, this role combines enterprise-architecture vision with hands-on leadership of a 20-person team (applications, integrations, infrastructure, security, and support). You will modernize our core platforms (ERP, MES, LIMS, CRM), lead high-impact integrations between internal systems and third-party SaaS solutions, and ensure that every initiative is secure, compliant, and aligned with aggressive business growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the 3-year US IT roadmap that accelerates digital manufacturing, supply-chain visibility, and customer experience.
  • Serve as the escalation point for all U.S. technology risks, budget, vendor contracts, and audit findings.

Operations & Reliability

  • Ensure 99.9 % uptime for all U.S. production systems.
  • Lead war-room resolution of Sev-1 incidents, post-mortems, and permanent corrective actions.
  • Partner with Global Security to enforce NIST 800-171, SOC 2, GDPR, and emerging state privacy laws.

People & Culture

  • Build a succession pipeline: define career paths, conduct quarterly 1-on-1s.
  • Promote a culture of psychological safety, experimentation, and customer obsession.

Governance & Financial Stewardship

  • Manage an annual U.S. IT budget; negotiate enterprise SaaS agreements with favorable security, data-residency, and termination clauses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 10+ years progressive IT experience, including 5+ years as an IT Director/Head of IT operations (multi-site manufacturing or life-sciences preferred).
  • Demonstrated success delivering large-scale ERP (SAP) and CRM rollouts.
