Geotab is seeking a Global Technical Account Executive (GTAE) who serves as the principal technical strategist for Geotab’s most complex and high-valuation multinational partnerships. Tasked with the end-to-end ownership of the global client ecosystem, the GTAE bridges the gap between high-level business vision, technical feasibility and delivery and technical execution. This role is not merely a relationship manager, but a trusted technical advisor who co-engineers multi-year digital transformation roadmaps, ensuring Geotab’s platform is deeply embedded in the client’s global infrastructure. What you'll do:

As a Global Technical Account Executive, your key area of responsibility will be orchestrating a sophisticated matrix of regional account teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver a unified, global service model. By leveraging advanced data-driven insights and a deep aptitude for fleet telematics, IoT integration, and enterprise systems engineering, the GTAE demonstrates quantifiable ROI to C-suite stakeholders, securing long-term retention and maximizing Customer Lifetime Value (CLV).

To be successful in this role, you will possess a rare blend of technical consultancy, geopolitical business acumen, and aggressive business strategy and development. In addition, the successful candidate will proactively identify white-space opportunities across diverse territories, address technical needs and ensure forward vision, transforming complex regional challenges into scalable, global solutions that drive organic growth and solidify Geotab’s position as a mission-critical enterprise partner.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Act as the global and principal orchestrator for high-valuation accounts, governing the end-to-end client lifecycle and ensuring seamless technical integration across global, national, and regional business units.
  • Co-engineer multi-year roadmaps that synchronize Geotab’s IoT capabilities with the client’s internal systems, API integrations, and ESG/Sustainability goals.
  • Lead the development and execution of global account plans, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Direct a global ecosystem of regional advisors and stakeholders, establishing a unified Geotab technical strategy and maintaining alignment with the overarching account vision. Serving as the ultimate escalation point and intervention lead to resolve misalignments that put the account relationship at risk.
  • Monitor account’s performance against global goals/SLA’s and identify areas for improvement and expansion. Create and present reporting.
  • Monitor reseller’s performance against global SLA’s and identify areas for improvement and execution.  Create and present reporting.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate global risks, including technical, political, economic, or logistical challenges, to ensure uninterrupted service delivery and business continuity.
  • Collaborate extensively with local teams in each region to gather localized insights, coordinate customer objectives and needs, and ensure consistent messaging and solutions.
  • Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing between regional teams to optimize client service and identify best practices.
  • Act as a liaison between global clients and regional teams to resolve complex issues and ensure seamless service.
  • Consolidate global client data and reporting, providing a holistic view of account health and progress.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing global accounts, promoting the full suite of products and services, coordinate with Business Development.
  • Develop and present tailored global solutions that address client needs across multiple regions, leveraging the company's full capabilities.
  • Prepare and lead client business reviews, ensure executive engagement and coordination of executive meetings at least one per year.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, product availability related to region and competitive activities to inform strategic account planning.
  • Participate in global contracts and agreements negotiating, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
  • Co-create and sell value-driven solutions that solve complex, multi-regional business challenges, moving beyond product promotion to consultative partnership.
  • Engage Business Development team for opportunities and execution of pilots.
  • Cultivate high-level advocacy within the client’s executive leadership (C-suite), positioning Geotab as a mission-critical partner in their digital transformation.
  • Conduct regular global business reviews internally and with clients to assess satisfaction, present performance insights, and identify future needs.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings as required.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on global account performance, including revenue, profitability, and client satisfaction metrics.
  • In conjunction with local account advisors develop accurate revenue forecasts and sales pipelines for each global account at the local level to inform company-wide business planning and resource allocation.
  • Analyze global market data and client feedback to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 8-10 years of experience in enterprise-level account management, technical sales, or solutions engineering.
  • Experience in the telematics industry, fleet management, or B2B software is required.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 50% of the time; a valid passport is required.
  • Proven ability to navigate and influence the C-suite of Fortune 500/multinational organizations, transitioning from a vendor to a mission-critical business partner.
  • A track record of achieving global growth targets by identifying "white-space" opportunities and engineering solutions that deliver quantifiable ROI.
  • Mastery in governing global framework agreements (GFAs) and navigating complex, multi-year contract negotiations across diverse legal and commercial landscapes.
  • Ability to co-create long-term technical roadmaps involving IoT, API integrations, enterprise systems design, and big data analytics to solve enterprise-level business challenges.
  • Strong ability to translate fragmented global data sets into actionable business intelligence and "Value Realization" reports for client stakeholders.
  • Advanced command of CRM ecosystems (e.g., Salesforce), BI tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI), and an understanding of how telematics data integrates into ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading "virtual" global teams, driving alignment across regional stakeholders who may not have a direct reporting line to you.
  • Deep understanding of regional business cultures, regulatory environments (e.g., GDPR, local privacy laws), and the ability to mitigate risks in volatile markets.
  • Fluency in multiple languages (highly preferred) and a high level of cultural intelligence (CQ) to navigate global business etiquette and logistics.

The annual base salary for this position is the expected annual salary for this role, and may be subject to change. Geotab offers various perks and benefits and other compensation components that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary for this position depends on a variety of factors such as but not limited to skills, qualifications, education and overall experience, including the location the applicant lives while performing the job. This also includes equity with other team members and alignment with local market data. All offers of employment are contingent upon proof of eligibility to work and the individual's ability to pass a background check.
