Sr Manager Contract Operations

Reporting to the Executive Director, Contract Operations, the Senior Manager, Contract Operations is responsible for leading and overseeing the end-to-end contract drafting and management process. This includes a wide range of contract types such as statements of work, user agreements, renewals, order forms, amendments, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and other related documents. The primary objective of this role is to ensure all contracts are processed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with established internal processes and approval matrices. This individual serves as a key cross-functional partner, collaborating closely with Sales as well as departments such as Product Management, Consulting, Legal, Implementation, Accounting, and Finance to drive operational excellence and contract compliance.
This individual will lead a team of Contract Operations Analysts, Senior Analysts, and Supervisors, while also directly supporting the most complex and high-value deals. In addition to team leadership, the Senior Manager, Contract Operations will drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) process, with a focus on automation, streamlining workflows, and reducing manual efforts—all while maintaining adherence to established service level agreements (SLAs). This role will also collaborate closely with Product Management, Legal, and Finance to evaluate, revise, and integrate new solutions and enhancements into standard contract templates and quote structures.

Key Responsibilities
•    Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management for a team of Contract Operations professionals, including analysts, senior analysts, and supervisors, responsible for contract drafting and negotiation.
•    Serve as the primary point of contact for processing GHX’s largest and most complex deals, which may involve rescoping, quoting, level-of-effort assessments, and contract development.
•    Lead the executive-level deal review process to validate and document both standard and nonstandard deals, ensuring alignment between customer expectations, contract terms, implementation planning, and solution delivery.
•    Oversee the development and execution of proposal strategies, including the definition of proposal themes and the creation of comprehensive proposal management plans.
•    Drive team performance by optimizing workflows, enhancing productivity, and fostering a high-performing, accountable team culture.
•    Ensure high levels of contract throughput and accuracy through continuous monitoring and reporting of key service levels and performance metrics.
•    Manage and track deal-related activities and priorities, providing timely updates and insights to stakeholders across the business.
•    Collaborate cross-functionally with leaders in Product Management, Sales, Legal, and Finance to gather business and technical requirements necessary to draft accurate and compliant customer-facing documents for complex deals.
•    Participate in regular deal debrief sessions to identify process gaps and contribute to the development of actionable improvements.
•    Recommend and implement process enhancements aimed at increasing digitization, scalability, and operational efficiency throughout the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) process.
•    Lead talent acquisition, onboarding, and career development for the Contract Operations team, including team leads and senior-level professionals.
•    Design and deliver training for Sales leaders and representatives on contracting processes, while also mentoring and developing Contract Operations team members.
•    Document and maintain up-to-date Contract Operations procedures, playbooks, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability.

•    Executive-level written and verbal communication skills, with a particular emphasis on concise, high-impact business writing
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel, with the ability to create, edit, and analyze contract documents and reports
•    Highly collaborative, with the ability to partner effectively across cross-functional teams and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization
•    Self-directed and proactive, demonstrating strong initiative, ownership, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Required Education, Certifications, and Experience
•    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Legal Studies, Operations) or an equivalent combination of education and related professional experience
•    Minimum of 8 years of experience in contract management, sales operations, or a related discipline, with demonstrated success supporting complex, high-value deals
•    At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or team management role, with proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
•    Proficiency in key business tools including Salesforce, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel), and electronic signature platforms (e.g., DocuSign)
•    Extensive experience working with both standard and complex legal and commercial documents, including but not limited to: User Agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), Order Forms, Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)

Preferred Qualifications
•    5+ years of experience supporting commercial processes in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
•    Background in software-based commercial solutions, ideally within a SaaS or technology-focused organization
•    Familiarity with sales operations, product and services pricing, revenue recognition, and core accounting and financial principles
•    Hands-on experience contributing to or leading a high-performing Deal Desk team, preferably in a SaaS business model
•    Experience in the healthcare industry, with an understanding of relevant regulatory and contracting considerations
•    Proven ability to work with and manage complex pricing models and multi-dimensional deal structures
•    Demonstrated success in leading initiatives from concept through execution, delivering measurable results and business impact

The compensation for this role is: $122,900- $163,800

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on various factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of GHX’s total compensation package for employees.
