Asset Protection Associate (Part-Time)

Role Overview

This role supports the local Asset Protection team at our Teterboro, New Jersey facility and reports to the AP Supervisor/Manager. The incumbent will help maintain a safe and secure work environment by acting as a visual deterrent to potential loss and documenting all required activities.

In this role, you will:

• Foster positive relationships with staff, vendors and guests while providing excellent customer service
• Maintain a professional appearance in line with GOAT Group’s uniform standards
• Assist in reviewing, monitoring and enforcing POST Orders for your assigned facility
• Assist in enforcing the facility-level IIPP Program, Emergency Evacuation Procedures and Fire Prevention Program
• Assist with access control compliance, visitor programs and access card audits
• Thoroughly examine and record logistics carrier information in line with CTPAT standards (where applicable)
• Complete checklists for opening/closing and communicate findings
• Assist with local management for planned and special events
• Control access for employees, visitors, and vehicles according to GOAT Group Policy
• Monitor surveillance cameras, document suspicious activities and review CCTV footage to document after-hours building opening/closing procedures
• Conduct thorough package inspections, including backpacks/packages anytime employees exit the facility (warehouse/retail store)
• Assist in the process of evicting trespassers and violators and detain perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive at the scene
• Perform other duties as assigned by Asset Protection, Workplace Services or Operations
  

We are looking for:

• A motivated and team-oriented individual with one or more years of warehouse, distribution center and/or retail store experience. This includes the following:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Security Guard and/or Asset Protection experience preferred
  • Audit and compliance experience preferred
  • Familiarity with CCTV, NVR, Google Suite, Excel, PowerPoint and iOS (a plus, but not required)
  • Ability to coach and train team members
  • Ability to handle personal and/or sensitive information confidently
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed, including planned/unplanned overtime
  • Ability to work in a warehouse or retail environment with varying conditions (such as dust, fluctuating temperatures, extended time frames of sitting, standing and/or walking)
