Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Supervisor (Industrial 480V Systems)
Position Summary
The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial electrical systems up to 480V within a manufacturing facility. This role is hands-on and field-focused, with limited design responsibility, and requires strong practical experience developed through electrician or technical roles. High-voltage systems are not included in the scope of this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily activities of electricians and electrical engineers across shifts.
- Maintain and support plant electrical systems up to 480V (high-voltage systems excluded).
- Perform daily inspections of electrical equipment and develop preventive maintenance plans.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment failures and abnormal operating conditions.
- Diagnose and resolve plant power grid issues, including distribution panels, switchgear, and feeders.
- Ensure safe, reliable, and continuous operation of factory electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
- Support electrical equipment installation, start-up, and system optimization.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production, facilities, and EHS teams.
- Enforce electrical safety standards, NEC requirements, and company procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state-recognized electrician license (Illinois or equivalent).
- Strong hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems up to 480V.
- Practical background developed through field work as an electrician or electrical technician.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
- Experience supervising or leading electricians or technical staff.
- Willingness to work night shifts or rotating shifts as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in factory or manufacturing electrical maintenance.
- Basic electrical system design or modification experience.
- Familiarity with MCCs, motors, VFDs, and industrial control panels.
- Experience working in a 24/7 or shift-based manufacturing environment.
- Being bilingual (English + Mandarin or other languages) is a plus.
Working Conditions
- On-site role in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on supervisory position.
- Shift work or night shift availability preferred.
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 –$130,000, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by factors such as the role, level, and geographic location. Actual compensation within the range will be influenced by the specific work location, along with factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
