Sr Aircraft Maintenance Planner
Summary
The Senior Aircraft Maintenance Planner will develop maintenance schedules and tasks for aircraft under FAA Part 145 requirements. They will work with the production management team to assign resources and manage schedule and budget.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in aircraft maintenance and planning of base maintenance events, including C-Checks on narrow- and widebody aircraft. Behaviorally they will be comfortable working across teams to gather data and establish clear and concise communication and information paths.
Organizationally, they will report to the Director, Operations Strategy and Planning and is a member of the Production Planning team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Scheduling Maintenance Activities: Creating and coordinating maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with regulations, maintenance programs and customer requirements.
- Planning and Managing Maintenance Work Packages: Preparing work packages, specifying hangar slot, material, tooling, personnel, and resources needed for to perform the scheduled maintenance event.
- Tracking Maintenance Activities: Monitoring the status of maintenance work, ensuring it is completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborating with Stakeholders: Communicating with maintenance personnel, engineers, management and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve issues.
- Ensuring Compliance: Staying up to date with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and other relevant National Airworthiness Authority regulations for which Greenpoint is approved.
- Process Documentation: Creating and maintaining process documentation as needed and participating in continuous improvement activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

Summary of Education, Experience & Certification
High school graduate or GED. Associate degree or higher in Science or Engineering, and/or Certification in Aviation (E.g. A & P license, EASA B1 or B2, or Transport Canada AME license) with relevant experience preferred.
Five years of prior experience working in aircraft maintenance and planning environment required. Familiar with FAA Part 145 requirements, FAA Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Supplemental Type Certificates Fleet specific OEM Manuals. Familiarity with Manufactures’ IPC (Illustrated Parts Catalog), AMM, (Aircraft Maintenance Manual), SRM (Structural Repair Manual), AD (Airworthiness Directives) and SB (Service Bulletin).
Employees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to analyze maintenance and inspection requirements and translate into task cards using MRO system.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and materials specifications.
- Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team.
- Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
- Ability to work outside of core business hours as required.
The expected WA salary range for this position is between $78,000.00 - $103,000.00 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other factors permitted by law.
