Manager, Avionics
Summary
Manages the Avionics department and its assigned team members’ performance of modification, maintenance, preventative maintenance, approval and return to service for any aircraft or part thereof.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluates manpower, tooling, equipment, and parts for an efficient workflow.
- Works with the management team to set a schedule for Avionics work tasked to the Avionics team.
- Works with Supply Chain to ensure onsite inventory is maintained at a level required to maintain schedule.
- Maintains a positive work culture with all employees, including subordinates, peers, and Management.
- Works closely with the Chief Inspector to maintain the highest level of quality and safety.
- Develops data for customer quotes including labor, parts, and material requirements and establishing project schedules and delivery dates.
- Manages assigned projects and personnel ensuring quoted projects meet or exceed customer expectations, delivery schedule, and budget.
- Ensures all labor and materials are properly accounted for and are allocated to the appropriate project.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary of Education, Experience & Certification
High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of five (5) years’ recent commercial aircraft maintenance and/or MRO experience preferred. Minimum of two (2) years’ aircraft maintenance leadership experience preferred. Airframe, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required. B1, B1.1, and/or B2 certification is a plus.
Employees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes.
This safety-sensitive position is covered by the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. Any applicant selected for this position will be subject to pre-employment drug testing. Persons occupying a "safety-sensitive” position will be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing. Post-accident, reasonable cause, and return-to-duty tests may also be required based on specific circumstances.
Due to government regulations and contract specifications, we are required to fill this position only with an individual who qualifies as a U.S. Citizen.

- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Demonstrated experience with Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
- Ability to use hands to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and have close/color vision ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Ability to work outside of core business hours as required.
