Regional Procurement Buyer (Florida)
The Role
The Regional Procurement Buyer, Indirect is a key member of the Procurement team, responsible for managing purchasing activities across assigned cannabis production facilities. Primary focus areas include cultivation-related indirect materials, grow supplies, and MRO, with additional support for categories such as Professional Services, IT, Marketing, Facilities, and HR. With a focus on strategic sourcing, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration, this role ensures the timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement of goods and services to meet site needs. The Regional Procurement Buyer plays a critical role in optimizing inventory, reducing total cost of ownership, and enabling scalable operations in collaboration with the corporate team and the production facilities.
You will be required to visit the cultivation site(s) in your region at least once a month. This is a remote position based in Florida.
Responsibilities
Purchase Order Management
- Create and manage purchase orders in ERP systems; monitor shipments, coordinate deliveries, and confirm payments.
- Engage established vendors for required needs, new vendors specific to sites for pricing, product availability, and lead times; onboard new suppliers as needed under corporate procurement guidance.
- Ensure PO accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly; maintain organized records and procurement reports.
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams to track order status, delivery schedules, and invoicing.
Inventory & Demand Planning
- Collaborate with cultivation and facilities teams to forecast supply needs and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Develop purchasing strategies to minimize shortages and excess stock while supporting seamless grow operations.
- Leverage web-based tools and ERP data to drive efficient and cost-effective buying decisions.
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure purchases meet internal quality standards and cannabis industry regulations.
- Partner with Compliance and QA teams to provide documentation and resolve issues.
- Monitor supplier performance across cost, service, and quality metrics.
Procurement Operations & Logistics
- Contribute to the development and execution of indirect procurement strategies and continuous process improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for assigned procurement areas/categories, providing end-to-end support for ERP/MRP systems—including configuration, training rollout, and policy enforcement—in collaboration with Corporate Procurement.
- Manage supplier relationships, coordinate logistics, and ensure on-time delivery of materials and services within the assigned region.
- Collaborate closely with warehouse and inventory teams to optimize storage, material handling, and distribution of inputs and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies.
- Lead negotiations for bulk or one-time purchases, leveraging data and vendor insights to secure favorable terms and value-added services.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Align closely with Grow Operations and Facilities teams to support timely procurement for grow cycles and equipment needs.
- Coordinate with Finance and Compliance to ensure procurement aligns with regulatory and budgetary standards.
- Educate internal stakeholders on procurement workflows and compliance with best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Agriculture, or related field; CSCP/CPSM certification preferred.
- 3+ years of procurement experience in agriculture, cannabis, CPG, or manufacturing, with a focus on indirect spend.
- Familiarity with cannabis cultivation, MRO sourcing, and regulatory compliance is highly valued.
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems, inventory platforms, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills; able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Effective communicator with a proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused mindset.

- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry

The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
Green Thumb Pay Range
$70,000 - $100,000 USD
