Manager, Product Design

About us:

Grow Therapy is on a mission to serve as the trusted partner for therapists growing their practice, and patients accessing high-quality care. Powered by technology, we are a three-sided marketplace that empowers providers, augments insurance payors, and serves patients. Following the mass increase in depression and anxiety, the need for accessibility is more important than ever. To make our vision for mental healthcare a reality, we’re building a team of entrepreneurs and mission-driven go-getters. Since launching in February 2021, we’ve empowered more than ten thousand therapists and hundreds of thousands of clients across the country and insurance landscape. We’ve raised more than $178mm of funding from Sequoia Capital, Transformation Capital, TCV, SignalFire, and others.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Be a voice for our users — Discover provider and payor needs through both qualitative and quantitative research, shaping insights that align and guide the organization’s design efforts.
  • Inspire and align cross-functional teams — Build strategic partnerships and communicate design visions that unite teams around a shared goal.
  • Turn insights into actionable solutions — Drive insights into elegant, user-centric solutions that meet, and sometimes redefine, business goals.
  • Connect the dots across product areas — Stay engaged in multiple provider and client workstreams, uncovering patterns and opportunities across different product areas.
  • Foster a strong design culture — Promote a culture of care, empathy, and open communication, ensuring clarity and respect within and across teams.
  • Manage and empower the design team — Lead, coach, and develop a team of product designers to deliver exceptional work.
  • Align product design with strategic goals — Ensure product design strategies align with broader company objectives, driving innovation and execution.
  • Lead key business initiatives — Identify and evaluate product opportunities that align with strategic business goals, playing a central role in critical initiatives.
  • Communicate vision and progress — Articulate design strategy, vision, and progress clearly across teams and stakeholders, fostering strong collaboration.
  • Make key design decisions — Navigate trade-offs and resolve design challenges, acting as the central decision-maker for the design group.
  • Champion best practices — Set and maintain best practices for design excellence, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement at Grow.

Who You Are:
  • An experienced designer — With 8+ years of product design experience, you’ve delivered multiple successful products, showcasing expertise in visual design, interaction patterns, and information architecture.
  • A maker with emotional insight — You lead teams to create products that solve problems and resonate emotionally with users, blending craftsmanship, creativity, and empathy for high-impact results.
  • A motivated driver — You take ownership, align teams with vision and storytelling, and inspire them to overcome obstacles, ensuring impactful outcomes through relentless drive.
  • A team player — You foster trust in cross-functional teams, celebrating wins and collaborating seamlessly with designers, researchers, PMs, and engineers to deliver successful products.
  • An adaptable problem solver — You thrive in uncertain environments, partnering with product and engineering to make quick decisions, test ideas, and iterate based on rapid feedback.
  • A leader, mentor, and coach — You empower others while ensuring high-quality outcomes, mentoring and fostering a culture of learning and growth for your team.
