Overview
The Sales Coordinator is a foundational support role essential for maximising the capacity and effectiveness of our domestic sellers and sales leaders. This position acts as a proactive driver of market research, client-facing collateral, and internal administrative support to arm the sales team and increase demand for GumGum’s products.
This role reports to the Sales Director, NSW & QLD and supports our national Sales team.
Note: GumGum fosters a flexible work environment, offering GumGummers the ability to work either in-office or remotely/from home. However, for occasional in-person collaboration, we kindly ask that this position be located within a 'commutable' distance to our office.
What You'll Achieve
- Sales Collateral & Strategy Support
- Deck Building & Proposals: Lead the creation of custom presentations, sales collateral (including mock cards and one-sheets), RFP responses, and media plans to support pitching and deal closure.
- Strategy Support: Assist sellers by developing bespoke targeting strategies and executing plans developed by sales leaders.
- Client Communication Prep: Prepare summary emails based on trade press readings and curate relevant news articles for sellers to share with key clients and prospects.
- Project Assistance: Assist with one-off projects, such as simple mocks and presentation edits, to help sellers close deals or prospects.
- Market Research & Data Management
- Market Intelligence: Conduct market, competitor, and category research to provide sellers with data and trend slides for new client meetings.
- Data Curation: Pull and curate site lists and research data for clients and upcoming meetings.
- CRM & Admin: Actively manage and update sales data in the CRM (Salesforce), including logging activity, taking notes during meetings (e.g., Holding Co Partnership Meetings), and keeping the Master Account List up to date.
- Operational Coordination
- Internal Liaison: Serve as the backbone of the sales team by liaising across Ad Ops, Marketing, and Finance to ensure cross-functional collaboration and continued campaign support.
- Reporting: Create and update Bi-Weekly Decks for all regions, including compiling data, creating slides, and tracking meetings.
- Follow-Up: Follow up on client emails and coordinate with delivery teams post-sale to ensure smooth campaign execution.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Complete any additional administrative and ad hoc tasks as required by the business.
Skills You'll Bring
- Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience
- Preferably 1 - 2 years of experience in a sales or marketing environment within the tech, advertising, or agency industries.
- Skills
- Strong written communication; can summarize news articles quickly and format short, concise emails
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
- Expert at PowerPoint / Google Slides & Excel / Google Sheets
- Excellent attention to detail
- Customer Obsessed
- The ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
- Good administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Salesforce
