Senior Analytics Architect

Schedule: 3 times a week hybrid onsite

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

The Sr. Analytics Architect will lead the technical delivery of the data and analytics team to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of data strategies, managing data infrastructure, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality analytics solutions to support business objectives.  Home Market Foods recently implemented Dynamics 365 F&SC along with an Azure Data Lake and PowerBI. This capability has unlocked the power of data to improve decision making and drive HMF’s rapid growth trajectory. We are looking for a technical leader to further enhance this capability by delivering business critical analytics through expansion of data, reporting, and visualization capabilities.  This role is hands-on delivery of solutions as well as driving the technology architecture for the team and mentoring teammates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mentor a global team of data engineers, data analysts, and BI developers. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs.
  • Develop and execute data and analytics strategies that align with the company’s business goals. Identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data infrastructure, including data lakes and data warehouses. Ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility.
  • Leverage deep understanding of D365 F&O data structures and business processes to extract meaningful insights. Implement best practices for data extraction and transformation from D365 F&O. Develop custom BI solutions that enhance D365 F&O reporting capabilities
  • Lead the technical development of advanced analytics models and reporting solutions using tools like Power BI. Provide actionable insights to support decision-making across various departments that drives business value. Evolve the platform to take advantage of AI and machine learning to create advanced demand planning, predictive models and manufacturing floor optimization.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, sales, marketing, and finance, to understand their data needs and deliver tailored analytics solutions.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance data capabilities.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of data initiatives. Regularly report on progress and outcomes to senior leadership. Create data warehousing strategies that optimize performance and data accessibility.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Master’s degree a bonus. Microsoft certifications in BI and D365 F&O preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in data analytics. Experience in the food manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • Expertise in Microsoft BI stack (Power BI, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS).Proficiency in SQL, DAX, and MDX. Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
  • Proficiency and experience with Microsoft based modern cloud data warehouse and data engineering (Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Fabric, PowerBI). Experience and proficiency with connecting to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Applications (D365 F&SC, D365 CE, etc…) and building associated data solutions.  Design scalable and efficient data models, Extract Transfer Load (ETL) processes, and reporting solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles. Functional understanding of business data within context of a manufacturing company.   Experience building advanced analytics solutions models. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to lead high-performing teams through technical guidance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data sets to derive actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to be hands-on building and delivering solutions.
