Now, we’re looking for a driven, relationship-focused Associate Director of Sales – C-Store to take the lead in growing our Convenience channel across the East Coast. 

This high-impact role is perfect for a sales leader who’s as comfortable closing deals as they are building strategy, leading teams, and navigating top-tier customer relationships. If you’re ready to be a major player in a fast-paced, high-growth company, we want to hear from you. 

📍 Location & Travel: 
This role is remote, but because our HQ and primary customer are located in the Boston area, frequent day trips are required. To support this level of in-person engagement, the ideal candidate will be based within a reasonable driving distance for same-day travel.

🔍 What You’ll Do: 

  • Own and grow relationships with East Coast convenience retailers and distributors 
  • Drive new business while nurturing and expanding existing accounts 
  • Lead the development and execution of annual business plans, “big bets,” and go-to-market strategies 
  • Partner closely with customer marketing to launch new products and merchandising initiatives 
  • Build and coach a high-performing C-store sales team 
  • Serve as a key voice in shaping the broader Convenience channel strategy 
  • Monitor performance metrics and analyze trends to hit volume, margin, and trade spend goals 
  • Represent Home Market Foods at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with forecasting, finance, marketing, and more 

 

🎓 What You Bring to the Table: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or graduate studies preferred 
  • 10+ years of food industry sales experience, including key account and broker management 
  • Proven track record of winning new business and growing major accounts 
  • Experience developing and leading successful sales teams 
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills 
  • Familiarity with the C-store channel and existing customer contacts is a major plus 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems is a must
